It is used to relieve anxiety, nervousness, and tension associated with anxiety disorders. It is also used to treat panic disorders.

Patients who have narrow-angle glaucoma should not take Pill. It may worsen this condition.

Before taking this medication, the patient should tell his/her doctor if he/she has kidney disease; has liver disease; has asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, or another respiratory disease; or is depressed or has suicidal thoughts.

They may not be able to take Pill, or they may require a dosage adjustment or special monitoring during treatment in such conditions.

Pill is known to harm an unborn baby. Patients should not take this medication without first talking to their doctor about pregnancy.

It is not known whether Pill passes into breast milk. Patients should not take this medication without first talking to their doctor if they are breast-feeding a baby.

If patients are over 65 years of age, they may be more likely to experience side effects from Pill and may require a lower dose of this medication.

Pill is not approved for use by children younger than 18 years of age.
