[Moderator's warning: It is not true that Aloe vera is free from side effects -
although they seem to be rare with careful, short-term use. See for example:

(under "Complementary therapies")

Our general caution to CHEAL group members about herbal (or any medicinal)
products promoted in this group is to check out the claims carefully, preferably
with independent professional advice and if you are considering becoming a
distributor be aware that it is illegal to distribute or promote any product in
the UK with curative claims unless it has a UK product licence for medicinal
use]

Hi all.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the group. I am a
conventionally trained Medical Doctor and a fellow of the Royal Society for the
Promotion of Health. I am now an avid advocate of Aloe Vera and its properties
and other natural
remedies. This started after I was introduced to it as a natural remedy that
could alleviate my troublesome symptoms of hay fever, migraines and an
auto-immune problem that I had been unable to resolve these in spite of my
medical knowledge and experience. After
carrying out some research into its properties (as a sceptical medical mind is
apt to do!) I was able to satisfy myself that this was not some magical `miracle
cure' but good hard scientific processes within an entirely natural and very
appropriately named `medicine plant'. My nickname is now the 'Aloedoctor'!

So impressed was I with my findings that I now makes these same products, from
Forever Living Products, World Leaders in Aloe Vera and Bee Products, available
to a wide range of individuals. I am passionate about sharing the knowledge and
benefits of this incredible plant and supply individuals and organisations with
health tonics based on organically grown Aloe Vera, natural remedies that are
free from side effects for a wide range of conditions (particularly those
affecting the skin, joints, digestive and immune systems) and scientifically
balanced, natural nutritional supplements. My main aim is to address the
underlying causes and mechanisms of illness rather than simply masking or
blocking the
symptoms.

I am keen to make contact with anyone who is interested in knowing more either
about using (good quality) Aloe or making these products available to others.
Feel free to watch
this short clip http://www.youtube.com/v/9wOzzesUgx8&ap=%2526fmt%3D18 or get in
touch to have a discussion/ ask for details about my open meetings in Cambridge
or elsewhere in the country.

Best wishes from Dr Sylvia (AKA The 'Aloedoctor"!)
