"Yahoo Groups" is well known for erratic behaviour - Posted messages
can disappear into "the abyss" for up to 2 days before being passed
on to the moderators. Sometimes a later posting can leap-frog an
earlier one!

With long postings, the end of the message is occasionally chopped
off in postings distributed by email, so if a message ends "up the
air", you might like to check the online group website:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/cheal/
for the full version of the message.

Rejected postings

It is rare that the moderators have to reject a posting and we will
always tell you why.

Editing of postings
--------------------
Occasionally postings are edited for clarity - usually just the
title to facilitate indexing of archived messages. Please include
some keywords in the title of your posting so that folks browsing
the message archives can see what it is about.

Searching past postings to CHEAL
--------------------------------
After some teething troubles, Yahoo have now got their "Improved
Message Search" facility for past messages working well. You can
search for keywords in both titles and text of past messages from
the search box on the home page of CHEAL - just above the list of
most recent messages - With the "advanced search" feature you can
find a past posting by date or author.

HTML and Rich Text Postings

Don't believe Yahoo when it offers you the option of posting your
message via the Rich-Text Editor (Beta) - It is lying! In moderated
groups this facility is not available. Why don't they tell us? -
Because they are too busy implementing new ways to pass on the
adverts and sponsored links!

HTML is not accepted in postings either, nor are attached files (the
latter is an option we have deliberately selected to avoid possible
virus transmission).

Membership
----------
Membership has now grown to 85 signed-up folks, plus we have many
people who browse CHEAL without actually joining. Yahoo run
membership applicants through a spam filter, so if your membership
application gets rejected, there could be a problem with past
activity from your email address.
