Hi everyone
Thought I'd better introduce myself after lurking for a wee while. My
name is Scott and I'm a yoga teacher based in Scotland. My approach to
yoga is healing-based, and that brings me here to exchange thoughts and
ideas and hopefully add a little to the conversation. My approach is
very practical, having been through a little bit of stress in my life
(particularly some bouts of depression, going through a divorce,and many
occasions on a 12 year police career) I'm not just talking theory here.
My current focus in my personal practice is in the aspect of
mindfulness/awareness of the "now", and I'd love to hear from anyone who
has had experience with mindfulness based practices?
I like to take in broader wisdom than just that offered by yoga as I
firmly believe the old Hawaiian (Huna) saying, "Think not that all
wisdom is in your school", so am looking forward to learning from you all.
