Wesak Moon" Festival

Last Friday was the "Wesak Moon" Festival.

The Wesak Festival is spiritually known to be the supreme moment in
the annual cycle, when the Buddha and the Christ come together in a
sacred ritual. At this pivotal moment, there is opportunity to share
in the "high water-mark of spiritual blessing in the world."

When the full moon is in the constellation of Taurus (usually the
full moon in May), a world-wide event takes place that is often-
times referred to as Wesak. In the East, this date also marks a
celebration of Buddha's birth, attainment of Buddhahood, and his
departure from the physical body. The new and full moon periods are
always times of increased communication with other dimensions. It is
as if the veils become thinner between planes, and is why meditation
at these times can be very fruitful. When the moon is in Taurus,
a special rending of the veils occurs. As legend has it,
Buddha, "The
Illumination of Light," and Christ, "The Embodiment of Love," meet
at this time for the benefit of humanity and Earth. The Office of
the Christ and the Office of the Buddha work in concert for the
vibrational upliftment of humanity. Wesak marks an intense period of
Spiritual evaluation in all dimensions. This evaluation sets
humanity's vibrational destiny for the next twelve-month cycle.

All people of spiritual aspiration who meditate and make their minds
available to the inpouring energies can contribute to the building
of a channel for impression on the mental plane, through which the
energies directed by the Hierarchy towards humanity can pour. To
form part of this channel requires minds that are disciplined and
available, free of the diversions of the lower mind, the emotions
and the material concerns of outer life.
Link up with all disciples, aspirants and people of Goodwill
throughout the world. Eliminate from our consciousness all
negativity, clearly aligning ourselves with the Forces of Light.
