Healing & Wholeness - The Concepts & Technology of Yeshua

Yeshua was a shamanic healer, magician, teacher and psychic visionary who lived
2,000 years ago. Three centuries after his death, the Roman Empire created a
religion which was partly based on his teachings and partly on their own
cultural values of patriarchy, hierarchy and hegemony (leadership by one
country). Yeshua was given the Latin name "Jesu". Although distorting (i.e.
interpreting in their own cultural context) the teachings to some extent, the
Roman Catholic Church did much to spread the teachings of Yeshua worldwide and
to preserve sacred sites in Jerusalem.

Twelve hundred years later, English followers of this "Church of Rome" took
exception to the hegemonous (centralised domination) aspect of this religion
(Christianity) and broke away to form the independent "Church of England". The
teachings of Yeshua were translated into English - making them available to the
common people for the first time, although in a form consistent with the
"political correctness" of that era. Yeshua was given the name "Jesus".

Accessing the Yeshua Magic Now
------------------------------
The varied forms of Christianity practised today often bear the
imprint of our ancestors who sustained the message and the legends of
Yeshua through the ages, and who we have to thank for keeping his
memory and teachings alive for two thousand years.

Some of these imprints may not fit well with the needs and the
culture of 21st century Britain. Some of these ancestral cultural
imprints may even be "spin-doctorings" which obscure or even
contradict the original teachings.

The good news is that there are still sufficent clues around for us
to re-discover, re-connect with and even heal our lives and
relationships via the original magic of Yeshua.

Experience Your Soul?

If we totally abandon Christianity, we risk "throwing the baby out
with the bathwater" - losing the great wisdom and magic of one of the
greatest prophets and alchemists that God has provided for the
guidance, wisdom, wonder and joy of the human race.

Yeshua's word for "God" was "Allaha" - meaning "Unity", "One-ness"
or "Wholeness" - an Aramaic concept quite different from the Hebrew,
Greek and Roman concepts of an external male God expressing
predominantly masculine qualities. "Allaha" comes from the same roots
as the Muslim word for God - "Allah".

You are invited to a short (45 mins) moving meditation experience,
accompanied by music and chanting of the first Beatitude (in Aramaic -
the language of Yeshua) at the Christian Meditation Group, St
Edward's Church, Cambridge on Friday February 25th 2005 from 5.30-
6.15 pm. No prior experience of meditation or Christianity is needed.
St Edward's Church is opposite the Arts Cinema and Indigo Coffee Bar,
between the market place and King's Parade. THERE IS NO CHARGE.
