Do you still have the truck? If so, do you have any idea how much it would cost to ship? The only drawback with a truck like that is my child might not want to do anything but ride it....I'd have to get him out doing things that require him to "work" on his PT skills. He's not walking yet, but we do have a gait trainer that he uses...

That is awesome...I bet he had tons of fun with the truck!!
I hope someone else can get use out of it...I do not think Cayden
would be ready for something like that but if she could manage a
joysick I know she would have a blast!! She loves moving and
bumps...our front yard would provide MANY bumps for her...lol

wheelchair. It took a while for him to figure out that it was a way
to get around, not just a toy. But once he did he did great. He has
quad spastic CP. and can not use his hands to feed himself. But he
is a whiz at his powerchair and using the mouse on the computer. If
he really wants something he will learn to do it. If it is not
important to him, he is not interested in trying. (Very frustrating
for me). My cousin is a computer whiz and built a circuit board that
causes the motors to steer it in the direction that the joy stick is
pointed. We put a single wheel on the front (The big front tires are
not really on the ground). The truck worked great in the dirt as
well as the concrete.

work a joystick, so she would not be able to use. Her grandpa
bought her cousin one of those type cars for Christmas, and she
rides around with him. They both get a kick out of "driving." I
hope you are able to find a good home for the truck.

It would be something I would love to do for my daughter when she is
able to benefit. Also, how did you teach your son to work a joystick?

our son with Quad CP. Instead of a steering wheel, it has a joy
stick, which controls both the steering and the gas pedal. It also
has a tall back with a strap, so they are strapped in securely. (It
does need new batteries). My son loved it and he used it for about 3
years before he outgrew it. It would probably fit a child from 3-7
years old. I would like to give it to anyone that thinks they can
use it for their child. Nothing made my son happier then being able
to drive in our driveway like the other kids. I live in Southern
California and am willing to ship it. But, you will have to help
with the shipping.
