RE: [cerebralpalsy] I have a A Big Foot Truck modified for Special Needs that I would like to donate to someone.

Cyndi,

That is such a generous offer.  My daughter does not know how to work a joystick, so she would not be able to use.   Her grandpa bought her cousin one of those type cars for Christmas,  and she rides around with him.  They both get a kick out of "driving."  I hope you are able to find a good home for the truck.

If you don't mind, can you take a picture of the modifications.  It would be something I would love to do for my daughter when she is able to benefit.  Also, how did you teach your son to work a joystick?

Thanks.

Hi All,
I have a Big Foot truck that my husband and cousin modified for our son with Quad CP.  Instead of a steering wheel, it has a joy stick, which controls both the steering and the gas pedal.   It also has a tall back with a strap, so they are strapped in securely. (It does need new batteries).  My son loved it and he used it for about 3 years before he outgrew it.  It would probably fit a child from 3-7 years old.  I would like to give it to anyone that thinks they can use it for their child.  Nothing made my son happier then being able to drive in our driveway like the other kids.  I live in Southern California and am willing to ship it.  But, you will have to help with the shipping.

I just would like to see some other child experience the fun my son did.

Thanks,
Cyndi Di Mauro
