After back surgery, my son was on baclofen for awhile.
About 5 years ago, my friend's son got a baclofen pump, it is in his abdomen and connected to the nerves that were causing him problems. They have to go to the hospital for refills, just a short in and out visit.
I would try oral baclofen or another muscle relaxor that may have been developed.

It's been awhile! Happy New Year to all of you on here. My question is
about muscle contractions or spasms. My 5 yr old son has CP and is
dystonic on all four limbs and trunk. He is not on a feeding tube and
eats whatever we do. As he is getting older, his muscles painfully
contort as he works harder to try and control them. Does anyone have
any tips as to what can help alleviate this discomfort? He cries out
in pain when this happens, and it's just hard to watch. I've tried
gently massaging his feet and legs. He seems to enjoy this alot. I
give him Motrin every now and then, but lately this is getting worse.
Anyone offering suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks.
