I need help! My son Nick is 5 years old and has spastic diplegic cp.
He can walk with a walker but cannot talk. I have been potty training
since the middle of June. He was poop trained before he was pee
trained. He is now mostly pee trained but he poops in his pants. At
first he would sign that he had to go potty and he would poop in the
potty. Then, the following week, he would poop in his pants but he
would tell me when he did. Now, he just poops in his pants and doesn't
tell me at all. He is still mostly pee trained with only a few
accidents a week. What happened? I'm sure that he is not afraid of the
potty because he never was. He loved being a big boy and going in the
potty. I am almost positive that the cp has not affected bowel muscles
because he has not pooped or peed while sleeping for a long time. If
anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
