Intensive Therapy with or without Suit (Therasuit or other)
Hello all.
It has been a few months since I posted and wanted to reach out to
parents and caregivers around the world who have had children go
through Intensive Pediatric Therapy and may have also used the
Therasuit or other suit.
As medical advisor to an intensive pediatric therapy center using the
Therasuit, I am delighted to tell you that children are responding in
amazing ways to intensive pediatric therapy and Suit Therapy. I am
committed to educating, and encouraging parents, caregivers, and
healthcare providers to help children (and adults) achieve their
maximum recovery and highest level of function.
To be honest, I am still learning. Although I have been an MD since
1986, most of my time in Private Practice was spent in adult
rehabilitation.
I have some questions to parents, and caregivers….
For those who can tell me, what was your overall experience with
Intensive Therapy (with or without the Suit)?
What are the most important determining factors when choosing a
center to take your child for this therapy?
What has been the biggest obstacle you have had to overcome to get
this therapy for your child?
Have you had success in getting insurance companies to pay?
Have you had success fund raising?
Are there any unique, creative and effective ways you have used to
raise money that you can share with me?
Have you returned for subsequent sessions and do you plan on
continuing to do so?
What has your experience been with combining Intensive, Suit and HBOT?
Thank you in advance for your input. As a medical doctor who
communicates everyday with people who have and care for children with
special needs, I want to learn all I can and do all I can to
encourage others and be a positive influence in their lives.
