The intent of this list is to give doulas and other labor support professionals a place to chat about birthing issues in our local community. Announcements that are related to maternal-child health are welcome posts. We share articles and new research in an effort to keep everyone up to date on maternal-child health issues. We might also ask questions and receive feedback about certain birth facilities and care providers in Austin.

Although the name of this list reflects that we are doulas, we are also midwives, childbirth educators, nurses, and other perinatal professionals interested in helping families reach their full potential. As helpers we are ferrying the motherbaby with information, support, and compassion - in a whatever form their journey takes. The content of this list is useful for doulas practicing in Central Texas (particularly Austin).
