I have just come back from a little trip along the California coastline following a group of bicyclists who raised $375,000 for the Arthritis Foundation. You may check out pictures of the ride at http://www.californiacoastclassic.org/ (I seem to be having difficulties getting to the website)
This ride started in San Francisco and ended up in Universal City in Los Angeles. There were 89 riders. One of the riders, Scot, was on a unicycle. Every town we were in, Scot was the center of attention in the media. ALL the riders and the staff were amazed at Scot's physical accomplishment. You have to understand that a unicycle ha only ONE gear, and it takes practically ALL your muscles in your body to stay upright and balanced up and to control descents on down hills. He is one amazing guy! Actually, everyone involved were amazing!
Before the California Coast Classic, I was around the Puget Sound with Tim Kneeland & Associates with their Wheeling Washington tour, another fun cycling event that I was very fortunate to be involved in.
All fun things must come to an end, and here I am back in good ol' Seattle! And I hope to be seeing some of you in the near future. I hope everyone is enjoying the fall season that seemed to have creeped up while I was away. :)
Peace and Health!
