members and pending members to remind everyone to complete the necessary fields
in your profile (as required by Yahoo).

Please see the instructions below for figuring out how to comply to this:

Yahoo has dictated that all members of any group must have a
completed profile with NAME, AGE, GENDER, LOCATION, your City is fine, not a

occupation in order to protect the group from possible deletion. Please update
your profile as follows:

3. Click on "VIEW MY PROFILES" at top of page.
4. Click "EDIT" on the row that shows your Yahoo ID
5. Click "EDIT PROFILE INFORMATION"

*Testimonials:

In March of 2007, Brandi Clark participated in the iStand Experience.
Brandi is a visionary and was recently named Best Environmentalist in
the Austin Chronicle' Best of Austin Reader's Poll. Brandi has always
been a passionate activist and leader, but after iStand, she truly
found her groove. Not only that, she found her voice and a new level
of power. Since the program, she has stepped powerfully into her
vision of establishing a visionary green bank here in Austin, and so
much more.

Brandi, who has participated in many leadership and transformational
trainings says:

"It was the most powerful single experience I have ever had – being
with change agents from all around the world and doing powerful work
around judgment, inner conflict, vulnerability as power, leadership
with heart and more. It's a full body/mind/spirit experience with
exercise and soul work mixed in with the workshops and outward-
focused activities. It profoundly moved me – to the point where my
experience of people, life and myself are noticeably different,
transformed."

Austin Clergy Climate Connection Conference
A Dialogue on Clergy Response to Climate Change and the Environment
Monday, February 18, 2008, 7:30 a.m.
Congregation Beth Israel
3800 Shoal Creek Boulevard
This interfaith forum will address the challenges involved in
discussing environmental issues with congregations, ongoing and
planned environmental projects at Austin congregations, and updates
on environmental initiatives at the local, state, federal and
international levels.

Our primary goal in holding this forum is to provide an opportunity
for Austin clergy to meet other religious leaders from our local
community who are interested in environmental issues in a faith
context, and to explore ways we can network, collaborate, and support
each other. To that end, the forum will include generous time for
structured and unstructured discussion as well as a time for planning
follow-up for those who are so inclined.

This forum represents a valuable opportunity for Austin clergy of
different faith traditions to come together and learn from each
other, and to form local relationships so that together we, as the
leaders of the Austin religious community, can face the incredible
challenges confronting our planet with a shared vision and focus.

Please RSVP to Texas Interfaith Power & Light at cara@...
or by calling 472-3903. There is no charge for this event.

Special Screening of "Arranged"
Wed. January 30th, 2008
Regal Arbor Cinema
9828 Great Hills Trl
(off 183 in NW Austin)

Please join us as the Muslim and Jewish communities come together to
watch and discuss this movie about religion, stereotypes, and hope.

"Arranged" is the story of two young women -- an Orthodox Jew and a
devout Muslim -- who become friends as they each negotiate the
difficult process of marriage in their respective traditions. It is
the story of two modern women who discover that their struggle to
remain true to their respective traditions in the modern world is a
more powerful link than the fact that they practice different
religions.

Imam Mohamed-Umer Esmail of the North Austin Muslim Community Center
and Rabbi Alan Freedman from Temple Beth Shalom will facilitate a
discussion following the movie about the many traditions that unite
people of religion as well as the stereotypes that can sometimes
divide us.

There will be a short 5 minute preliminary intro by both leaders,
then the movie will be shown, then the discussion will take place.
Tickets ($7) may be reserved by calling (512) 970-5068.

Visit the Austin Jewish Film Festival website (www.austinjff.com) for
more information about other festival films showing this week at the
Arbor Cinema and on the UT campus.

2008 Faith Poverty Roundtable
February 13th, 2008
Mexican American Cultural Center
600 River St., Austin TX

Food is a basic need and faith-based organizations have a history of
responding to the needs of the poorest among us. As a leader within
the faith community, Caritas of Austin invites you to join other
faith leaders and ministerial staff on February 13, 2008 for the 2008
Faith Poverty Roundtable. This year's theme is "Collaborative
Solutions to Hunger."

Throughout the month of January, the Basic Needs Coalition of Central
Texas is engaging in a community-wide discussion about the impact of
poverty in Central Texas. The Poverty Roundtable will be the faith
community's opportunity to respond and unite around the issue of
hunger. The event is designed for pastors, staff or volunteers who
oversee programs related to mission, outreach, social justice, youth,
senior adults, children and family ministries, as well as local food
providers.

Attendees will gather to learn about hunger, existing food resources,
how groups can volunteer with food service organizations, and how to
become actively engaged in addressing food security in the Austin
area. During break-out sessions, participants will hear from
panelists representing non-profit and faith-based food providers,
such as Meals On Wheels, Sustainable Food Center, and Capital Area
Food Bank. The Basic Needs Coalition Food Security Committee will
facilitate Austin-area meetings with the faith community and food
providers to identify opportunities for collaboration.

Advanced registration is required. The faith community and food
service providers will be given priority. For more information,
contact Tamara Landry Bell, Faith Coordinator, 512-646-1277 or

**The Thought That Counts Quote:

**Flare by Mary Oliver

When loneliness comes stalking, go into the fields, consider
the orderliness of the world. Notice
something you have never noticed before,

like the tambourine sound of the snow-cricket
whose pale green body is no longer than your thumb.

Stare hard at the hummingbird, in the summer rain,
shaking the water-sparks from its wings.

Let grief be your sister, she will whether or no.
Rise up from the stump of sorrow, and be green also,
like the diligent leaves.

A lifetime isn't long enough for the beauty of this world
and the responsibilities of your life.

Scatter your flowers over the graves, and walk away.
Be good-natured and untidy in your exuberance.

In the glare of your mind, be modest.
And beholden to what is tactile, and thrilling.

~ Mary Oliver ~ (from The Leaf and the Cloud: A Poem)

handful of loving spirits who have volunteered to be with the
children. All of them can be trusted to provide your children with a
nurturing and rich experience.

8) 'A Course in Miracles' Forgiveness Hypnotherapy seminar
FREE TO ALL SPIRITUAL SEEKERS: Wed Feb 6th

Do you sometimes have difficulty forgiving people when they push your
buttons and piss you off? :-) Have you ever considered the idea
that the only thing getting in the way of your enlightenment and
perfect Joy is your addiction to blame and judgment?

During this free 2-hour seminar, Erik Archbold, C.Ht., a seasoned
group hypnotherapist, and highly dedicated student of A Course in
Miracles will treat you to a hypnotherapy experience that will be
both enlightening and luxuriously relaxing!

For the first part of the seminar, Erik will guide everyone through a
group hypnotherapy session to relieve all the stress and tension from
the room. This will be followed by a fascinating lecture and
discussion on some of the profound principles found in the Course, as
well as specific ways to apply these principles in your own life.
Finally, after a short intermission, Erik will lead the group through
a second hypnotherapy session focused on integrating the Course's
message into your everyday life.

"For over 7 years I've used clinical hypnotherapy to help people
replace old habits such as smoking or over-eating, with new habits
such as proper diet and exercise. I now feel guided to use these
same skills purely to help people replace their old habits of
judgment and blame… with new habits of forgiveness and peace.
According to the Course-based teachings found in the book The
Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard, we are all powerfully
addicted to the ego's thought-system of judgment, which is literally
the source of all of our suffering. Enlightenment is the end of
suffering, and the result of a radical shift in perspective that true
forgiveness helps to facilitate. May you find these teachings
helpful in reaching our shared goal: the journey without distance…
the journey Home." - Erik

Greetings, All.

I received the following email this morning. Smiling, I read astrological
events supporting the energy being pulsed by the Galactic Center,
the creational force described by the Maya Calendars. As we move through
these last few days of the current Akbal Trecena, our intention has been to
look within - pay attention to our dreams, also a time for secrets to come to
light. What have we experienced since beginning this Trecena on Jan. 20th?

The next Trecena begins Saturday, Feb. 2nd. The energies of Cib,
(pronounced keeb) generate the following until its Trecena ends Feb. 14th.
The overall energy for this time is as follows: "Trecena of testing
and tough decisions. Golden opportunities to move from shadow to light in
dealing with energies of previous thirteen days. another time of political truths -
realizing what is real and what is not."

Details for each day are available on my website www.karen-rollins.com .
As many of you already know, I plan and schedule all aspects of my life
according to these energies. Sample pages for my Day Book and Perpetual
Meditational Guide are now online, also. Both provide information on
Maya Calendar energies - the Day Book with detailed specifics --the Perpetual
Guide with broad information on Tone and Sign energies for you to intuit your
 own interpretations.

Having already told friends of my intention to spend the next 3 Trecenas
(39 days) as introspective, creative time, this astrological info provides great
confirmation.

Blessings to you all. Please stay in touch. I will be available by email or
phone. Wishing you Peace, Beauty and overflowing Abundance.

[Daily Cosmic Calendar]
Hold Everything! The universe declares a cease-fire and you need to pay
attention to what's happening all around you. The big news for sure is the
stopping of Mercury at 24 degrees of Aquarius (12:32PM PST) and its
accompanying retrograde shift until February 18. All Mercury themes -
information exchange, the five senses, intellect and logic, business and trade,
communication and transportation, reading and writing, learning and classes,
words and language, hand-eye coordination, dexterity and versatility,
the lungs and breathing, wind and air, magic acts, trickery, theft and
sleight-of-hand - are prominent now and over the next couple of days. Be
aware that Mercury will remain virtually motionless for about 48 hours, so
don't assume that it is suddenly dashing into reverse mode. It is wise to be
more cautious about major signings, agreements and business negotiations.
Use the next three weeks to review, reflect and re-evaluate what's been
happening in the key areas of life mentioned above. While flowing Moon-
Mercury and Moon-Mars trines occur at 1:22PM PST and 1:49PM PST
(creating a temporary grand triangle in air signs), the latter time also begins a
long void lunar cycle that lasts until 1:36AM PST on Tuesday and the arrival
of intensive Scorpio Moon. Therefore, pushing the envelope across the board
will probably boomerang against you. It is still very helpful to be extra
sensitive to dear ones on the ropes when Mercury parallels Juno (2:06PM PST)
and Venus makes a mentally-stimulating 72-degree quintile with Pallas
(10:31PM PST). Both of these time-periods can help to restore your self-
confidence and give you insights into the behavior of key partners. Start
gearing up for Mars ending its retrograde cycle and turning forward in late
Gemini on Wednesday January 30.

***The Thought That Counts Quote:

"It is the food which you furnish to your mind that determines the
whole character of your life. " Emmet Fox

If I only ate junk food, my body would suffer from lack of nutrients
and my mind could be affected, evidenced by low energy and interest,
confusion, mood swings. I wouldn't be very good company and my
moodiness might rub off on others.

If I water and nourish my plants only once in a while, they might
turn from beautiful green to crackly brown and just wither away.

If I stop reading, trying new things, having meaningful
conversations, singing, writing in my journal... if I don't pray or
spend precious moments in the stillness, my brain might slow down,
thinking might become difficult, my mind might cease to reason. This
life might appear to be something just to endure.

In all of these cases, Universal Spiritual Law corresponds by
corresponding in a like manner. …..

Ah, and when I feed my positive, loving thoughts… thoughts of God,
peace, love, harmony, play and beauty, what happens? I move in joy,
knowing that all is truly well—that there is nothing to fear, think
up or make happen. I live fully, vibrantly in the NOW, allowing
Spirit to move me in wonderful ways I never imagined. Peace, love and
joy fill my being and, as I radiate this in the world, it is changed.
**Affirmation:

This day, I flow in the order of the Divine. One with Pure
Intelligence, I invite that which is seeking to express as me.

Business success in the 21st century requires organizational cultures
that encourage and experience increasing levels of trust,
transparency and authenticity. Because work is, at its core, a
fundamental human endeavor, leaders need to master tools that empower
and sustain high-powered relationships.
Yet, most of us live in cultures, both at home and at work, that are
full of criticism and judgment. We perceive criticism, we anticipate
judgment and we beat ourselves up before others can make us wrong. We
all naturally and reflexively create walls of judgment when faced
with the negativity of criticism.
Come join us as Michael Skye, founder of VisionForce walks us
through "The Judgment Window", a tool that brings down our walls of
judgment and defense so that people can feel truly seen and honored.
As Michael demonstrates this simple yet powerful relationship tool,
you can learn how to:
- Breakdown the walls that create distance between you and your co-
workers, your family and other important relationships.
- Shift from judgment to extreme compassion with anyone, instantly.
- Transform a good relationship into a powerful alliance.
- Turn your critics into allies.

Please join us for this stimulating and transformational experience.

Michael Skye, Founder and Chief Visionary Officer for Austin's own
VisionForce, works with a new breed of impassioned change agents,
entrepreneurs and visionary leaders from around the world who are
giving their lives to stand for all of humanity. His visionary
leadership training, VisionForce Boot Camp (video ), is part of the
One Million Visionaries Campaign. Boot Camp and the on-line course,
Visionary Mind Shifts, are powerful wake-up calls for those who are
ready to move from taking positions to making a stand. It is being
applauded by many local leaders, such as Richard Halpin of American
Youthworks, Jeannette Peaten of Big Austin, Brandy Clark of Austin
Eco Network and Nogie King of Wisdom at Work.

Thanks Stacey!

Here’s the information:

We are desperately in need of between one and three good massage therapists or body-workers to fill or share a room in our busy wellness center.  Our previous massage therapist had to find a larger space and we’re really missing her! Within our clinic we have 2 Naturopathic Doctors (primary care but alternative medicine) a great Chiropractor, a natural Esthetician (skin care) and a couple of Therapists/Counselors.  We really need some good body-workers to round out the team.

We are all independent contractors who rent space together to keep our costs low.  The clinic provides front desk staff, appointment booking, conformation calls, billing and advertising including a website, newsletters, online promotions, yellow pages, pay-per-click, and radio shows. All of that is included in the cost of rent.  Massage therapists can set their own rates, set their own hours (practitioners can use the space even when the clinic isn’t “open” for business hours), and decide what type of clients they would most like to see.  Ideally we’d get 2 - 3 great LMTs to share the room who have different areas of focus so that they’re not directly competing with eachother (or who just want to work different hours).

Rental rates are as follows:

Full room (meaning you don’t share ever with anyone: $800/mp + 15% of practice income

Half room (2 people share the room but work at different times): $450 + 15% of practice income

1/3 room (same as above but 3 people share): $350 + 15% of practice income

Provided everyone doesn’t want the same hours 3 people can share a room really comfortably and keep their costs down. We are looking for someone professional, easy to work with and friendly.  We can refer lots of patients, but you will still need to do some practice building on your own.  For information and interviews contact Carly at Excelon Health.

I noticed when pricing conference tickets as a participant, that each

There are some big names at this conference and people, who have

A wonderful person who is based in West Texas and does phone consultations with people is Daeryl Holzer.  Check her out at www.soulshift.com.

She is clairvoyant and calls herself an Imaginarian.  She works with people a lot on soul/past life regressions, and does teachings, public speaking, private sessions, etc.

I do not know them, but I am sure the person that was just
recommended to you is fine. I live in West Texas and people often ask
me for referrals all the time since I have organized holistic
associations, do large events and know many practitioners.

I have personally found over the last 20 years that it can be hit and
miss. I have worked with many people - most who were good and some I
just did not click with. I am an intuitive and I tell people to trust
their own intuition on their path. Talk to people, see what you feel
when picking a practitioner. Check out their website and writings if
they have any to see if it feels right.

Keep in mind that as you grow you will vibrate with different
spiritual tools. Be flexible and be willing to open to trying
different readers/healers. However, you may just click with one and
that can work as well.

Hope this helps

largest show and we created it in such a way where there is a lot of
variety. We have a holistic comedian who will be doing talk and many
other intersting things like the crsytal workshop. We are doing a
blood drive and giving out reusable shopping bags to help reduce the
use of plastic bags which harm the environment. We are also doing
opening and closing ceremonies to expand consciousness and create a
very clear energy.

If any person on this list lives near Kerrville and is a
practitioner, You are welcome to join us at a special party Friday
night. It's to welcome exhibitors and socialize before the expo. I
hope that a holistic association for education, support and
networking will form in the area after the show. We have groups in
San Angelo and Abilene. There are also a few groups in Houston.

Anyway, that's the story. I hope to meet some of the people on the
list and I thank the group owner for creating it.

Egan

She works with Akashic records, teaches classes, and used to be a

"Gaia's main problems are not industrialization, ozone depletion,
overpopulation, or resource depletion. Gaia's main problem is the lack of
mutual understanding and mutual agreement in the noosphere about how to
proceed with those problems. We cannot rein in industry if we cannot reach
mutual understanding and mutual agreement based on a worldcentric moral
perspective concerning the global commons. And we reach that worldcentric
moral perspective through a difficult and laborious process of interior
growth and transcendence."

Hi Everyone-

I joined this group looking for more information on metaphysical
topics/event in Austin. I am especially looking for a clairvoyant in
AUSTIN to help guide me a few times a year and maybe some energy work.

I am in school full time and also work so I don't have time to attend a
lot of events and meet people. So I was wondering if someone could
personally recommend anyone in the area. The person I used to work with
recently passed on and I don't know how to look for the "real thing"
besides places like this and personal references. So any help would be
greatly appreciated. I'd love to hear anyone's testimonials if you
feel like sharing. Feel free to email me privately.

THANKS!!

Greetings.

The Maya Energy for today (Lahun Cauac) cycles with the intent of attracting abundance and affluence into our business, on both a physical and spiritual plane.   When we honor our purpose in life, we are synchronizing our intent with these daily energies.

This writing by Deepak Chopra, received quite syncronistically today, fittingly reflects the universal nature of evolutionary energy pulses.  May your day abound with abundance and creativity as we each express our personal Laws of Dharma - in service to  self and others.

    Blessings,

          Karen

Honor Your Purpose in Life

Adapted from The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra (New World Library, 1994).
You have a unique talent and a unique way of expressing it. There is something that you can do better than anyone else in the whole world. And for every unique talent and unique expression of that talent, there are also unique needs. When these needs are matched with the creative expression of your talent, that is the spark that creates affluence. This is the Law of Dharma.
SIMPLE SOLUTION:  Make the Law of Dharma into effect by making a commitment to making the following steps:
1. Today I will lovingly nurture the god or goddess in embryo that lies deep within my soul. I will pay attention to the spirit within me that animates both my body and my mind. I will awaken myself to this deep stillness within my heart. I will carry the consciousness of timeless, eternal being in the midst of time-bound experience.
2. I will make a list of my unique talents. Then I will list all the things that I love to do while expressing my unique talents. When I express my unique talents and use them in the service of humanity, I lose track of time and create abundance in my life as well as in the lives of others.
3. I will ask myself daily, "How can I serve?" and "How can I help?" The answers to these questions will allow me to help and serve my fellow human beings with love.

In Lak'ech (I am another you)

All Here: Living from Your WHOLE Self

"Let your ship drift out to sea, let the ropes that moored it
magically fall untied, leaving behind a comfortable sense of
yourself, a comfortable sense of your life, that comfortable sense of
limitation, and sailing out into the unknown expanse of now. Open to
this nourishing, vital, infinite, transformative possibility of the
aliveness that's here. Be open to everything changing on a dime. Be
open to infinity wanting to touch you here. Sit as that infinity,
letting it wash everything solid from you, opening your hands, your
heart, your whole body in this complete yes."
Instead of shrinking to fit, come and embrace the many-flavored
richness of your own true being. Join Jeannie and friends as we sail
full-bodied into the sea of the unknown, allowing the native

Living without a Plan

"We can forget this world, forget what we thought we were, and feel
our way into this alive dissolution of Presence. Feel our way by
saying yes, and emptying and emptying and emptying, emptying
everything that rises, giving it to the ocean. Saying yes to it as
we feel it moving inside us, moving as us, saying yes to this
resting, resting as the unknown itself."

What comes into being when we are willing to empty and enter the
moment fully, without a plan, reference points or a map? How does
raw Presence speak, move, laugh, be? Join Jeannie and friends in
being part of a body of living discovery in the freshness of now.

Hello Everyone, Welcome to 2008! To those of you who have waited so

To those of you who have replied by phone, thank you and i will send
the above information soon, However, please reply with a written
