Dear hand analysis enthusiast:

My daughter (who lives in Austin) just lost her nanny position and is looking for work.

Do you know anyone looking for a qualified nanny?

My daughter, age 29, is great with kids and has loads of nanny experience. She needs a part time position (7am-2pm or so) and since she has a seven year old and a two ½ year old, she would need to be able to bring one or both of her kids with her, at least some of the time.

If you or anyone you know needs a nanny, could you please contact me. I really appreciate your help. My phone number is 415-331-9922.

" Rest does not come with sleeping, it comes with waking. This is
both an insight and an action of enlightenment.

When we are enlightened we realize that real rest is possible only
when we become free of illusion and we no longer struggle against
life.

Illusion is the idea that people should be, and do, what we want them
to.

The truth is, all is as it should be, despite appearances, or our
perceptions of others to the contrary.

This means you can be easy on yourself, easy with others and easy
with the world around you.

Easiness is a virtue, an attractive one at that. It is much more
influential than force.

So quit forcing, end the struggling and . . . relax! "

Vipashyana: Four Foundations of Mindfulness~ with Larry Higgins ~
Weekend
• Friday, July 13, 7:30 pm (Registration 6:30 pm)
• Saturday-Sunday, July 14-15, 9:00 am - all day
The Great Discourse on the Foundations of Mindfulness is one of the
key teachings of the Buddha.
This intensive demonstrates the degree of precision that can be
applied to meditation practice. Participants experience a range of
meditation techniques that emphasize both flexibility and the
personal responsibility for "being your own meditation instructor."
This is a weekend program of intensive meditation for practitioners
at all levels of practice, including teachers and meditation
instructors who wish to deepen their practice.

"So this is a living world, mind's world. Realizing this, working
with mind is no longer a remote or mysterious thing to do. It is no
longer dealing with something that is hidden or somewhere else. Mind
is right here. Mind is hanging out in the world. It is an open
secret." - Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche

"The four foundations of mindfulness represent one of the earliest
and most universally practiced teachings on Buddhist
meditation. . .One of the most interesting approaches, taught within
the Tibetan tradition, sees the four foundations as part of a single
meditative progression. One begins with meditating on the body, the
most obvious and accessible object of attention, then progresses to
feeling, mind and contents, each of which is progressively more
subtle than the last.

"What is most intriguing about this approach is that it sees the four
foundations as progressively deeper and more refined explorations of
the nature of the body itself."

No Prerequisites - In preparation for the weekend, students should
read "The Heart of the Buddha" by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, pp 21-58.
This will make it much easier to absorb the teachings and practice
given during the weekend and will help deepen the practice.

Suggested Donation $150 - includes catered lunch both days

what you can. If money is abundant, and you are inspired to donate
more to help subsidize this policy, please feel free to do so.

Dear Friends,

Yesterday was the third annual “Planetary Healing Day” as designated by the EPFX Biofeedback community.  We all participated in providing a protocol with specific frequencies to raise the awareness on the planet via our own minds (heal the mind, heal the planet!).  I did my protocol at midnight, 6 am and again at 7 p.m. when I led a group of local practitioners in the protocol.  My “client” was “Stacey Lemire as the Planetary Hologram”.  And while doing the protocol, I visualized my brain as the earth, using my eyes to represent Hawaii/third eye and my left brain hemisphere as Western countries and right brain hemisphere as the Eastern side (analogies in the information below).

I gave away my copy of the protocol last night and while I was looking for it on the web today, I found this original article that I had not yet seen.  It is reprinted (below my signature) from  http://www.qxcimembers.com/qxcimembers_earthhealingday.htm

I wanted to share this with you – especially the folks in the CTMetaphysical group who are affected by the new massage therapy law.  If you have received this twice, it means I’m not sure you are part of the group and I wanted to share it with you.  To join the group, please send a blank e-mail to CentralTexasMetaphysical-subscribe@yahoogroups.comIn the body of the message, put:

I got your Planetary Healing Day invitation,
Please sign me up for the group!

And I will add you to the membership.  Please feel free to pass this invitation on to your family, friends and clients.

In service,

Planetary Healing Protocol provided by Dave Cowan

"This is the third of our annual Planetary Healing events for EPFX practitioners. Each year, I ask myself, what is the simplest and most effective way we can affect the Planet for good? In years past we have been looking at directing balancing therapies to specific aspects of the environment, and I feel this has been a fairly effective means to create positive change.

This year, however, I am questioning the lasting effectiveness of working directly with the Planet, as I am appreciating more and more that the 'state of the planet' and the 'state of the world' is more an effect of a deeper cause, that being the Mind that brings the world into being.

If we work on the effects, we are simply dealing with symptoms. If we have not dealt with the causes, symptoms will merely re-appear, perhaps in a different form, but stemming from the same unhealed cause. This is one of the basic principles of Natural Medicine, which must apply on the macro, or planetary scale, as much as it does on the micro, or individual, level.

So what is the cause of suffering, pain, and disease in the world? Is not the world simply a conglomerate of each human's projection, or put another way, a product of the state of the collective human consciousness? If we look at the mind as the cause of the world, we now have some place to focus our efforts with a greater chance of lasting effect.

Another way to say this is that we cannot correct a problem from the same level of consciousness that created the problem. To truly get a new perspective, we must go to a higher or deeper level. Ken Wapnick, a major teacher of advanced metaphysics, suggests, "All problems are experienced within the framework of the body and of the world, but they cannot be resolved here because they do not exist here".

This view is consistent with the principles of Quantum mechanics, wherein the observer collapses the wave of unlimited potential into a 'particular' experience. I propose that holograhically, this also happens on an individual as well as a collective, or Planetary Scale. If individually, 'the world is as we are', as Deepak Chopra suggests, does this dynamic not apply on a collective scale as well?

An analogy offered by Carl Calleman from his writings on the Mayan calendar is helpful here. He proposes that the world can be visualized as a 'Global Brain' that up until recently has been fairly disjointed and unaware of it's nature as a whole entity. With the 'discovery' of continents, mapping, and finally the electronic hooking up of the world through the Internet and satellite communications, the wiring of the Global Brain is activating a planetary consciousness which is just waking up to it's magnitude. Even the functions of the hemispheres of the brain correlate to the global awakening. If you think of Hawaii as the Pineal gland, or 3d eye of the planet, the left hemisphere is analogous to the recently dominant Western culture, with its emphasis on linear logic and material, 'yang' values. The right hemisphere of the global brain relates to the cultures of the East who, much like the right hemisphere of the individual brain, reflect the more non-linear 'yin' qualities of life; community over individuality and a more nature-based world view. We are actually seeing this duality merge as the East embraces Western economic values, and the West is enamored with Eastern philosophies and practices.

If the solution to the planetary dilemma lies in the Mind, we must look more closely and understand the Mind's nature. What we see on the planet is a divided world; divided between rich and poor, young and old, polluters versus environmentalists, not to mention the chronic animosity between nations and religions. This outer division in the world reflects an inner division of the Collective Mind.

When we discuss Mind, it is helpful to clarify that we are including each individual Mind as part of a single collective Mind. This understanding is crucial to appreciating the power of Healing. We all share the same Mind. This Mind, however is divided within, and so has created a projected mirror-world of outer divisions. The saving grace here is that we also all share the memory of being at one time a 'Whole (Holy) Mind' without divisions. This memory of Wholeness has been called many things over time including our 'higher self, universal love, grace', and 'Heaven'. When we perceive the world from our divided selves, we see a world of division, the world is as we are. If we see the world from the memory of our innocent Whole Mind, we see a world of innocents struggling to awaken from their dream of separation. This is the key to healing. The healing of the outer will naturally follow the healing of the inner. The healing of the 'other' only follows the healing of the self.

In the Hawaiian tradition of Ho'oponopono, when a tribal or family member is in trouble or suffering, the entire tribe will gather together. Each will search their hearts asking, "What is it within me that has contributed to the problem here"? When they see the inner division that has played a role in the problem and are able to restore innocence through forgiveness and healing, the person who 'personified' the problem is spontaneously healed. What a beautiful expression and acknowledgement of our unity as one Mind!

If the Mind is divided, how are we to regard this division and how are we to know which part we are operating from? We could call the basic division here 'ego' versus 'spirit'. We use 'ego' not in its traditional form of being a neutral point of identity, but as a sick, destructive entity which is capable of all forms of negativity, including everything from selfishness to murder. One clear indication of which part we are experiencing is how we feel in our body? Do we feel constricted, afraid or the need to attack? That's the ego. Do we feel at ease, calm and happy? That's Spirit. So, the separated ego in the Mind is the problem. As a collective entity, we can call this the 'Ancient Mind', as it has been operating from day one in pretty much the same fashion in fomenting division, war and misery through the annals of history.

To have less than a solid appreciation of the separated ego's role on the Planet is to not see the festering wound below the surface of the outward symptom. This view will offend those who prefer a 'rose-colored' picture of the world. It is not easy to accept that the world is an insane asylum and that you are an inmate if you don't have a clue as to how to escape. Denial is the first reaction of a Mind conditioned by fear. To know you are in denial is the beginning of the ego-mind's undoing. Ultimately, when the solution to the problem, which is the undoing of the ego leading to the Healing of the Mind and Planet, becomes clear, the premise that this world is crazy becomes clear!

So, for those brave enough to read on, here is a summary of the 'qualities' of the separated ego-self.

1) The ego is afraid of everything and everyone. It is afraid it will be found out to be weak and sick, and therefore projects a strong image. The stronger the outward false image, the greater the fear.

2) The ego always feels guilty, not needing anything necessarily to be guilty of. It just knows somewhere along the line it made a big mistake in wanting to be a separate individual, and that what it separated from is probably really pi??ed off and is out for vengeance.

3) The ego believes in lack. It thinks the good things in life are in short supply, so for me to have anything worthwhile, you are going to have to do with less. The ego can't conceive of a world where there is plenty for all, so it prefers to hoard, steal or connive to get what it needs. The ego, however, is never satisfied, always wanting 'more' of whatever it thinks adds to itself.

4) The ego sees others as a threat. Even in 'love' relationships, the ego assumes other egos are just as afraid as it is, and so can't really trust anyone. It's always on guard against being hurt, exploited, and in this is often spreading pain of the same variety as a defense? "I'll hurt you before you can hurt me, because if you're anything like me, you will hurt me eventually!"

5) The ego projects its inner divisions and creates the world we see. It believes in a world of 'us and them, the good guys and the bad guys' to justify its fears. The inner guilt is first denied and repressed, then projected outward onto the world and 'others', thereby justifying blame, anger, punishment, judgment and war.

 6) The ego believes it is a body, and the world outside is independently 'real'. The belief in oneself as a body protects the illusion of separation. It also gives the ego convenient targets to attack or join with in pacts we call relationships. Belief in oneself as a body guarantees that one will stay in fear, as all bodies die. The ego is actually fascinated with death, as death 'proves' the ego and the body are real. Ever wonder why commercial youth culture is awash with symbols of death? Death is 'cool' because it means I'm truly a separate ego.

7) The ego has no concept of Spirit. It feels threatened by ideas that suggest a collective or transcendent reality. It would rather adhere to a religion rooted in sin, blame and guilt, as this feels right at home for the ego.

The ego projects and prefers a 'vengeful' deity, as it feels it deserves to be punished. The ego tends to react violently to the suggestion this ego-god is an illusion.

The breakthrough occurs when the decision-making part of the self, or observer, realizes the ego is out to destroy Life (a battle it is destined to lose) and decides there must be a better way to live. With even this minor putting aside of the ego's authority, a glimpse of the Spirit can emerge. It doesn't come from outside of us, as it is already there as our original Self. Spirit does not need to be asked for, earned or conjured up, as it is and has been always with us, from before the 'split' in our Minds ever happened. It is there as a memory of Oneness. Once the clamoring ego is put aside by our power of choice, Spirit softly moves in to take its rightful place in our awareness.

From these metaphysical premises, we can appreciate that the world of people, objects and events are more accurately symbols of parts of ourselves. We think we perceive the world when we actually project it.

This gives us a powerful entry point with which to work on Planetary Healing. Even if we focus on a specific aspect of the Planet, like the water, sky or land, and if we do so from this higher perspective, our consciousness of 'healing the outer by healing the inner' will allow for dramatic shifts to occur within us at the same time. The true Healer knows that healing always occurs when minds join and agree on their mutual innocence. In that moment of recognition of our true identity together as Spirit, the memory of Oneness floods forward to fill the emptiness left by the ego's belief in separation with Light, Truth and Healing.

The healing of us all is depending on you!"

**What are people saying about The Money Academy?
"I had a chance to go to Gayle's class for parents a few weeks ago.
Wow! Her presentation and material are top notch and exciting. She
has come up with a terrific way to help us empower our children! As a
family coach and parenting instructor, I can tell you that when kids
feel powerless, they easily slide into a downward spiral towards
feeling inadequate and uncooperative. But, when we share
responsibility with them, especially with money, they really develop
healthy self esteem and confidence. How fortunate we are to have a
resource like Gayle in our community! Way to go, Gayle!"
….Elena Michaelson, Family Coach and Parenting Educator
"The Money Academy, with family financial coaching, afterschool and
mentoring programs, and workshops for parents and kids, provides a
vital missing piece of education in our community. Gayle facilitates
a fun, free and more conscious relationship to money." …

It is time to make plans to attend our Annual Conference, which this
year will be held September 26-September 30, 2007, in Houston, Texas
at the Omni Westside Hotel.

The theme for our Conference is Contemplative Vision: Awakening to
Beauty, Truth and Goodness. The program will continue the work we
began at our conference in St. Louis. We will revisit our revised
Vision Statement and Theological Principles of Contemplative
Outreach. There will be an opportunity to meet and network with Fr.

Resource Faculty members, the CRCS (formerly known as the CCC,
Coordinator Communication Committee) and staff from the International
Resource Center.

This year we will have a well known guest presenter, Fr. Richard
Rohr, from the Center for Action and Contemplation. Due to the
widespread interest in hearing Fr. Thomas and Richard Rohr together,
we are offering two option plans for registration which are explained
in detail on the registration form included in this mailing. For
those of you who have attended our conferences, you know the value of
coming together-for Centering Prayer, to meet others on the journey,

Meditation using the sounds of the rose-quartz crystal bowls. Most peoples’ testimonial goes something like this: It was as if the sounds of the crystal bowls embraced me and allowed me to go deeper than before. Many will report a realization that occurred unexpectedly.

A guided visualization will take you through the process of de-stressing, relaxing and then taking a journey within. Lamar, having traveled Colorado and other places leading these meditations, has honed his senses so that he does a spontaneously guided visualization that draws from the people in the group. Most people respond that it was exactly what they needed at that time. And sometimes it will end up being toning with sounds or silence, whatever the gathered people in the room require for their highest good.

Afterwards you will tap into one of your MIND’s potential senses that you may not have been aware of before. This is just fun without expectations.

Please RSVP. You can sit on a chair, on the stairs, on the floor or lie down… whatever is comfortable.

Posted to CentralTexasMassage <<Please, get involved. Ask questions. Be part of the solution.
There is a large ad hoc group already formed who is meeting with each
other and the state on these issues. You should know who they are,
where they came from, what organizations they represent and who those
oraganizations represent, and especially their different agendas.>>

I took Doug’s advice and crashed the meeting.  I was nearly an hour late but I think I got a lot of valuable information to pass along.

The guests from DSHS were Heather Muehr, her superior, Stephen Mills and the department’s lawyer, Dan Meader.  The usually involved school reps were present (many of whom, I am delighted to report, are active members of the Central Texas Massage group.)  It appeared that the majority of attendees were schools.  Several of the associations and many of the bodyworker/movement educators were represented.  I did not know about half of the people in the room, so it is possible there were reps from yoga and other non-bodywork therapies that use “physical contact”.  If you guys are out there in one of the groups, please comment.

I was delighted to see Michael Abedin of Austin All Natural (he arrived at the same time as I, so I didn’t feel so bad crashing in late!)  It is about time more of the public knew about our birthing process – maybe we would gain their respect and help if needed.   It is certainly about time that we define our role as therapists - as it is dramatically changing in this century.  All of healthcare is dramatically changing, now that we have birthed the wellness industry. I attended a lecture by Paul Zane Pilzer about 7 or 8 years ago – right after he launched his best seller, “The Next Trillion Dollar Industry.”  It is certainly here!  As we know, there are great growing pains in the entire industry.  Michael covered the nutritional broo-ha-ha in his last issue of Austin All Natural (you can still pick up a copy at our office).  I expect he will include this subject in the July issue.

Because of the nature of the beast, I feel a need to bring this up.  There are people who have been so against licensing since the beginning of time, they continue to operate from that same fear now that it is a moot point.  I also know that in some minds, anyone who holds more than one license is often suspected of having a “questionable” personal agenda, as if a person can’t be a school owner and a therapist or a teacher and a therapist; as if school owners, establishment owners and corporations have no right to protect their interests and the jobs of their employees as well as their personal income.  WhatEVER!  This is America.  Everyone, even the most altruistic, has a personal agenda that is based on their belief system. It takes all kinds of people to make the world work and we will find the gamut in our industry.  From every political opinion to every religious observation, from the pious to the care-less, from the greedy to the needy, those who use bodywork for a spiritual quest and those who are body scientists (and those of us who are both ;0)  and those who think some modalities are “of the devil”.  Let’s just GET OVER it and get on with reality.  There is a new law in effect and we still have an opportunity to affect what will happen come September 1st.  As moderator, school host David Lauterstein was able to keep the meeting in focus pretty well and a lot of beneficial discussion took place.  (The history of the bill was discussed at length before I got there.)

Here is some background that was revealed by the DSHS crowd:

The massage therapy program, which administers 5 licenses (therapist, instructor, CE provider, school, establishment), is only one of 21 licensing programs that Heather oversees. According to Heather’s memory, the massage therapy program alone with its 5 licenses brings $1.8 million in revenue to the “general state fund” each year.  The majority of the money is used to build roads and schools, etc.  The massage therapy program has a mere 700 thousand dollar budget.  90% of the operating expense is staff related.  Heather’s staff for 21 programs includes (I’ll be close, anyway…) 4 investigators, 1 compliance inspector, and 4-5 administrative techs who process all complaints, open records and compliance issues for ALL 21 professional licensing programs.  Remember that of the 21 programs, massage therapy has 5 licenses.  I don’t know how many of the other professions have multiple licenses.   (I admit it is challenging for me to see this turn of events as anything less than a money making proposition for the state...I know, MOOT POINT!)  Now this law has passed and DSHS is looking at how to deal with it.  From what I can tell, the department is even less happy about it than we, because…

In addition to being understaffed with no hope of a budget increase, there are two other compounding factors: Heather is leaving her post and a replacement has not yet been named and, the building that houses the professional licensing division was recently flooded and the offices have been temporarily moved.  The two items most in question are: the new law allows for licensing of non-massage therapists, but the law does not make it a requirement for DSHS to implement a new license; and, physical contact was not defined.   Oh, and there is a September 1st deadline for defining the rest of the content for the additional hours – if that is even necessary.  I personally believe it would be beneficial for future students if the schools could just decide for themselves what to do with those extra hours.

It seemed to me that DSHS would be absolutely THRILLED if we gave them what we wanted, provided we can be in agreement about it, and took the pressure off the department.

Two more things to report:

1) The new school coalition, TCMSI (Texas Coalition of Massage Schools & Instructors) passed out a rules proposal they came up with.  They said it included input from the AMTA and the original school coalition, TAMSA.  I was able to get a copy of that (haven’t read it yet).  Raul Flores of San Antonio had another proposal for consideration, but I was unable to get a copy of that one.  These proposals were given to everyone for review and comment at the next meeting, scheduled for one month away.

2) The non-massage crowd contributed that:

a) Some of their modalities already have strict standards and ethics, most far exceeding the massage therapy requirements (for instance, Alexander Technique requires 1,600 hours to be accredited).

b) several of the modalities (Including Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais Method and Trager Approach) are not even allowed by their trademark’s to use the words bodywork, therapist or massage with their clients or in their advertising.

Since the non-massage crowd was not interested in listening to us hash out our massage issues, a decision was made that the bodywork/movement folks would have their own off-line ad hoc committee.  They agreed to appoint someone to go back and forth between them and the massage ad hoc committee so their requests would be represented and we would have a united front.

And, the last I heard, Alex Matthews talked with Dan Meader (DSHS lawyer) after the meeting and found out that it would be allowable to write exemptions in the rules!  Alex is now formatting the language to exempt the movement educators (including the registered trademark modalities, yoga instructors, etc. and hopefully the energy workers) for everyone’s review and comment.  This would be the perfect solution to relieve the concern of most of the non-massage modalities.

This being my experience, I am confident that everyone is working together and no one is trying to “sneak” anything by any of the communities that are now affected by the new law.  I’m sure I have more to report – just busy in my practice, running my business and teaching.  I hope that others who were at the meeting will add to the comments and clarity.

Thanks for listening.  Stay posted – keep active – get involved when/where you can.

"Getting God's Guidance"

We are all looking for the perfect guidance to follow that will bring
us a life of happiness, peace and success. We seem to look everywhere
for that guidance. We open up fortune cookies to see what the future
has in store, we flip to the astrology section in a newspaper or
magazine to see if today is that "special day," and we ask psychics
to gaze into our palms to see if our lives and loves are in order. We
look and look outside of ourselves to find the purpose of our lives
and the world when A Course in Miracles is offering us a simple plan.
….
First, it reminds us to quiet our minds. It is not that God is
waiting until you are finally quiet to guide and help you, for as
this lesson says, "He [God] has not waited until you return your mind
to Him to give His Word to you." He is giving us His help now, but we
will not experience His help until we quiet our minds from all that
we think we must do and accomplish, and rest in Him. Quieting our
minds is releasing our desires and leaving a space for God to fill us
with His purpose and direction. We are counseled in this lesson that
unless we release our petty thoughts, our personal desires and our
judgments of God's guidance in our lives, we will not hear God's
Voice or feel His guidance. So we are asked to:

1) Release our petty thoughts. Our slight irritations with other
people or our uncaring remarks about others may seem small and
inconsequential, but when we realize that holding those petty
thoughts in our minds is preventing us from hearing God's guidance in
our lives, they become worth our attention. That does not mean we get
stuck in our guilt for having those thoughts but are willing for them
to be healed by inviting God into those petty thoughts and thereby
opening ourselves to His Word.

2) Release our personal desires. Now this does not mean that we give
up our jobs, relationships or plans, but it does mean that we step
back from what we think are our goals in those desires so that God
can show us the real purpose. Many times what we think are the
perfect professions, mates or valuable accomplishments have turned
out to be situations that have brought us more pain than peace. As
the Course tells us, "...you cannot distinguish between advance and
retreat. Some of your greatest advances you have judged as failures,
and some of your deepest retreats you have evaluated as success."
(T357/383) God's Will for us is only happiness and He can and will
show us the true purpose for the desires in our lives if we will
release our control and let Him in.

3) Release our judgment of God's guidance. Now at the outset this
thought seems almost laughable. Of course we don't judge God's
guidance -- that is what we want! But how many times have you turned
to God in prayer for a particular situation and proceeded to tell Him
how you wanted the situation solved. "Dear God, I want your help in
this situation, and this is how I want it...!" Perhaps we think with
so many people on the planet that God couldn't possibly know our
situation the way we know it, so we have to get Him up to speed on it
and point Him in the direction we want to go.

Hi, folks!

I have 3 tickets (each admitting two people) available for the Wealth Symposium at the Renaissance Hotel at 7:00 Tuesday night.  Here is what it is all about:

The people from Tunguska Blast (a hot new nutritional drink) sponsored Brad Hagan, a multi-millionaire and one of the participants in the new move, PASS IT ON, to come to Austin the week before last and show the final cut of the movie before it was pressed.  PASS IT ON is the next step from THE SECRET with a few of the same and many new faces.  (Brad was sure to comment that we and two other cities got to see it before Oprah ;0)  Everyone who was at the screening received a pass for two to come to this Symposium Tuesday at the Renaissance.  Those of us who pre-purchased 5 copies of the movie got 6 more passes. Between my roommate and I we have 3 passes left. There will NOT be a showing of the movie at this event.  (We expect our pre-purchased copies to show up any day now and we’ll invite you to see it.  It is a major film changing people’s perspective about life and possibilities.)  This Symposium tomorrow night is from Tunguska Blast and this is how it is billed:

Come learn to apply the strategies used to create wealth, inspiration, success and happiness as seen in the inspirational PASS IT ON.  Discover the secrets of becoming a millionaire from Steven Thompson.

This is what I imagine it is about: You will be hearing something about the principles involved in Weath Iinspiration Success Happiness (the movie is based on four “vaults” of information – strategies for creating your WISH) and then they will tell you about using their product to create any level of success you want to achieve with it.

Personally, I am on fire for the product I’ve already been introducing to my clients for the last 2 years, XanGo, and I will be using their excitement to refuel mine as far as product sales.  (Hey, my PARENTS - the pharmacy people of the drugs and surgery crowd - are now on XanGo and having actual RESULTS [can I say, “duh”?])  If you are not on products for your health and offering products to your clients, you are missing a revenue stream.

I look at it this way, I’ve seen THE SECRET too many times to count and every time I do I am inspired by it.  I am going because I am excited to be in a room full of on-fire, positive people to create a greater vibration in my energy field.

As some of you know I was in Boulder doing more biofeedback training last week.  I had a VIBE machine session every day while I was Peaceful Meadow Retreat (plus all the biofeedback) and I’m participating in any thing that will keep that vibration up and charged.

Speaking of getting charged, if you ever want to get charged on a Monday night, go to Unity Church of the Hills on Anderson Mill road for Francis’ “meditation class”.  He’s drawing quite a crowd.  His views are quite interesting.  (I saw a bunch of you there when I went to the one they outgrew in Northwest Hills a few months ago ;0)

Anyway, if you want a ticket (each one is good for two admissions) call my office 512.388.2243 before 5:30; if you get the machine, leave a message with your phone number.  The doors close at 7:35 and I’ll be there around 7:00.

Happy Tuesday!

**Thought that Counts Quote:

"If God had wanted me otherwise, He would have created me otherwise."
                  ~Johann von Goethe

* Today's Affirmation: I am who God created me to be.

*Today's Meditation:

Dear God,

Each of us is an individual expression of You.
Today, we celebrate the incredible diversity that exists in the world
You have made.

We share our unique talents and gifts freely.
It takes each of us, being who we are to accurately reflect Your
loving spirit.

Help us stand tall in the person and personality You have created us
to be. Thank You for our lives and the opportunities we have to re-
present Your love in the world. Amen

1) Jungian Archetypes at the Movies
*see www.jungsociety.org for more info

Presenter: Emily Carter, M.A. One Saturday Left at 4:30 pm. ISIS
Institute - 1300 W. Koenig
This Saturday June 9 - Tragic Hero: GLADIATOR
We will gather to watch this film with box- office success that
illustrates Jungian archetypes and mythic story structures as
described in Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey. Hollywood's moguls
would love to discover a formula for financially successful films.
One such attempt turns to analysis of Jungian archetypes in the
Hero's Journey.

Sadly no amount of analysis can replace instinct, taste, daring not
to mention acting, direction and cinematography - talent always wins
over formal - but beneath talent lies enduring verities. After each
viewing, we will order out for a meal and discuss the archetypal
power that propelled these successful films.
Emily S. Carter, M.A., has degrees in Anthropology and has studied
folklore. Her non- fiction publishing has continued for 34 years, and
in retirement she is pursing a fiction career. Her fascination with
mythic story structures began in the 1970s when Joseph Campbell's
theories flourished among folklore graduate students. She is a
qualified Myers-Briggs analyst.

(if available.) For other info or tickets, call Judd at
512-535-5741.

Come 45 minutes early to network and meet like-minded people.
This intimate conversation with the Dalai Lama and the glimpses of
Tibetan culture are inspiring, but it is a documentary, so get
ready for a graphic and disturbing depiction of the Chinese
invasion of Tibet in one part. I wouldn't have used that footage. I
don't think His Holiness, The Dalai Lama would have either --
you'll see his view of it in the movie.

As a teacher, I suggest that when you see this or any violence....
join The Divine.... and His Holiness in seeing the solution, and
being the solution
in your own life and community.

Don't lower your vibration to the level of the problem by focusing on
what is now wrong. Then you're a part of the solution on the
spiritual level. This is a quite advanced perspective, so don't
expect many others to agree with you or understand it (the Dalai Lama
does). We address about this very sensitive subject in advanced
Divine Openings work.

3) BOB LEE EXHIBIT Reception -Saturday, June 9th

The Museum is proud to present a solo exhibition by Houston activist
Bob Lee entitled Fifth Ward Working Class Art. The exhibition will be
on view at from June 2 – June 30, 2007, with a reception to welcome
the artist on Saturday, June 9, at 7:09 pm.

Bob Lee, also known as "Da Mayor of the 5th Ward," creates highly
charged, politically minded collages which he then copies and sends
out to scores of people including Fifth Ward residents and national
political figures. Starting with images cut from newspapers and
magazines, Lee has created hundreds of works addressing the issues he
is passionate about, which include poverty, racism, AIDS, and
education. With biting humor and startling directness, Lee's works
chronicle his thoughts and pointed opinions about the political
leaders and issues of the moment. This will be Mr. Lee's second solo
exhibition in Austin.

Bob Lee lives in Houston's Fifth Ward. He is a writer, community
activist, and retired Harris County Social worker.

**JUNE TOPIC: SEEKING A NEW VISION FOR ACPJ - Continued
We have been getting together for two or three years now but feel it
is time to move ahead and see how we can increase our effectiveness
as a peace and justice movement in the Austin community.
Organizations and individuals gathered in may to begin a process to
expand this work. They answered questions such as: What are the main
goals and emphases of your activities? What are your priorities? What
are your greatest obstacles or hindrances? What do you consider your
greatest needs? How do you think we can all work together? Others
submitted a short survey answering these same questions.
The survey is still available at:
www.austinpeacecenter.org/ACPJsurvey0507.pdf.
Please fill it out for your organization and send it to us by mail.
Thanks to those who have already submitted a survey. We will be in
touch with you soon about the preliminary findings.
In June we will continue the process by discussing the findings and
finding ways to meet all our needs. Wew hope that you can participate.
As always all are welcome for networking, bagels, coffee and juice.

*Background Info: The Austin Center for Peace and Justice (ACPJ) was
formed in 2001 to continue the work of creating peace, justice, and
wholeness in Austin and the World. ACPJ's stated mission is "to
recognize and practice nonviolence as a core value personally,
culturally, locally, nationally and globally, and to be a center for
peace education, action and resources in the Austin community." (see
ACPJ Bylaws)
The Center provides a place where people can gather to learn,
reflect, and organize. We believe in the transformation of society
through principled, inclusive, and nonviolent action and welcome all

9) CAMP INDIGO 2007 (Amazing summer consciousness kid's camp for 4-
10) created by The Amala Foundation (formerly The Foundation for
Divine Consciousness)
June 25th - June 29th
The Amala Foundation offers the 6th annual Camp Indigo, celebrating
the Divine nature of Children. Camp Indigo was created in 2001 as a
loving, harmonious medium for the full recognition and expression of
Love, which is carried deeply and purely within the hearts of
children. When they are allowed to fully and unconditionally express
their Authentic Self, Children teach us the secrets of living freely.
The activities of Camp Indigo cater specifically to 4-10 year olds.
If your child is older than this and is inspired to attend, he or she
is welcome. This year we are offering mentorship opportunities to
children who have attended Camp Indigo as campers and are ages 9 and
older. The children are required to fill out a volunteer application
form and attend all Camp Indigo preparation meetings. These children
will perform the role of a spaceholder and be assigned to a small
group of campers.
For those 9 and older, we are excited to announce the first annual
Global Youth Summit. This is a spend-the-night camp offered to
children from various countries and backgrounds and is a sharing of
peace, harmony and cultural exchange. The Global Youth Summit is
currently being targeted for early August. Please visit the Global
Youth Summit page for the latest details.
This year, we hope to serve approximately 60 children. Now in its 6th
year in Austin, Camp Indigo has impacted the hearts of many and we
are honored to bring it back to the community. Again, our intention
for Camp Indigo is to create an environment that is safe, nurturing,
fun, spiritual and creative, where children can freely express, heal,
be acknowledged and heard. We want to support and empower children to
explore the Essence of who they are.

Where? Mozart's Coffee (@ the 2 black iron tables over by the
Lakeside Mediation Center)

3825 Lake Austin Blvd.
Austin, TX 78703

See http://spirituality.meetup.com/67/ for more info

*and as always please help me cover the cost of the meetup account.
$1/person (or more if you wish!!! :)

This is a meetup for people with a desire to go beyond dogmatic
religious or atheistic beliefs to an awareness of the "self" as pure
consciousness prior to identification with the mind and the emotional
body. Some concepts used to describe this state are: enlightenment,
salvation, inner-freedom, realization of oneness, "god nature",
or "being", etc.

This is our "true" nature which is a "natural state", not a high and
rarefied state of being that comes through technical control or
manipulation, but rather appears naturally if we just observe and let
everything be "as it is".
