Dear Members,
Greetings from http://www.cyberastro.com
Let us see how the vedic sky represents this June
welcome you to June Vedic Sky. With each beginning, the reality mysteriously
creates the possibility of the unexpected. Sometimes these are simply routine
and other times a pain. We should always be prepared for any eventuality that
June come our way. This does not mean anything negative, rather a state of
alertness, which in a positive manner helps us to be an expert at adjusting to
any kind of situation in life.
We are past half way through 2005 already. I am sure many of you feared some
eventuality to happen but I am also sure that things are not as bad as you
expected. This is the best part of life, it has a positive motion and very
rarely does it surpass our expectation of negativity. The strong yellow gold
rays of the Sun disperse most negative energies provided we do not allow them a
safe haven in our souls. The creation moves in an upward motion and all that
which is dark and heavy naturally falls away. The power of creation drives this
manifestation called life and the driver is the powerful. To be positive is
always in step with positive karma. So be calm and collected and live with a
mind that also takes a positive swing at all times.
Let us see how the planets are going to fare in their journey through transit
positions. Let me try to give you a brief picture of the map of the planetary
energies. Each in their position is empowered to give certain result. It should
be our endeavor to enjoy their blessings and understand that each denial is
never to be accepted as a set back, rather we must realize the wisdom of the
unknown, as in it lounge our answers to many a question.
Sun is transiting in Taurus till the 15th of June 2005. Then it enters the airy
sign of Gemini. Those who are in the creative line and have healthy and happy
Mercury in their natal horoscope, located in Gemini will feel a surge of
creativity. Writing skills, oratory powers will improve. This combination
creates ‘Budhaditya’ Jog which is most prominent in Virgo but also effective in
Gemini.
Moon starts its journey from Pisces and will come back to Pisces on 30th May.
Moon will be in Aries on the 31st. Moon is our power to be happy and revive
after each set back. Its short stays in each sign helps to reduce stressful
matters recede to the back ground and we get on with life anew. This process is
positive for those with a clean, clear and bright Moon in natal horoscope. The
same process is less effective with people with afflicted and unhealthy Moon.
The person is emotionally unstable and always plagued by a depressive mind set.
Mars is in Aquarius and will enter Pisces on the 4th of June. Mars in Pisces is
in a friendly sign as Jupiter rules Pisces. Pisces sign element is water and the
energy of Mars is that of fire. In effect there is going to be a dampening
effect on our Martian energy which in many occasions can be good. Aggressive
Mars is never a boon; it can destroy. This energy needs harmonizing and
spiritual methods are always more effective than any other form. Hanumaan Kavach
is a potent device against all Mars inflicted dangers.
The wit and humor of Mercury continues to remain intact in the sign of Taurus
till the 8th of the month. Then it enters happy and comfortable in its own sign
Gemini on the 9th. It further shifts its position to Cancer by the month end.
>From the 25th of June 2005 Mercury will transit Cancer. Mercury’s association
with arch enemies Sun in Gemini and then Saturn in Cancer may indicate that you
may make commitments, which you are not absolutely sure of. So be on your guard
from the 15th to the 25th, which would be the time when you may say or do
something which may change when Mercury is associated with Saturn.
Beautiful Venus is in the sign Gemini and will rest there till the last week of
June and move to Cancer on the 24th of the month. Cancer will house Saturn,
Mercury and Venus all three are friends with each other. As natural benefics
Venus and Mercury will be good in someway or the other while Saturn’s
disposition is yet to be known.
Good news in the realm of divine guru Jupiter is on the way. Jupiter only
remains retrograde in Virgo till the 5th of this month. Then it will resume its
direct motion and let us hope our life will also proceed in a swift and
successful journey along with his guidance.
Saturn has entered Cancer and is direct. Much depends on Saturn and Jupiter in
their transit path and position in each horoscope. It is pointless generalizing
on their indications as looking at the horoscope can only give the true picture.
Rahu transits in Pisces and Ketu habitats in Virgo. These karmic planets also
hold great power over the manifestation of our present Karma. It is best to see
where they are and who they are with and what is their condition. They are also
best understood with keen analysis and not general prediction.
The planets in the sky decree many kinds of changes, some favorable some bring
in foreboding of doom but human’s are endowed with much blessings. So just open
the doors and windows of your soul and reach for the sky. This section of Vedas
used to be the guide to life for the Ancients, let it also do the same for us.

"In one sense, no one ever has new problems. He has new forms of
his old problem, which is lack of self-knowledge. A troubled man
hacks vainly at sour fruits, leaving the unhealthy roots to continue
their work. Take the problem of self-rejection, which creates other
problems including depression and a frantic search for approval.
The whole problem vanishes by understanding that the rejected self
has no real existence. It is merely a dream-picture, a false idea
one has about oneself, an unconsciously played stage role. Suppose
an actor plays the role of a persecuted man. What happens to his
persecution when he walks offstage? "

reacting to images projected from our memory and speaking empty
lines memorized long ago. It is time to leave the studio and step
into Life." Carson's Commentaries

Hi Patrice. My name is Becky Tierce and I am a massage therapist here in Austin. My father is a veterinarian and I spent most of my life working in his hospitals. My father is a wonderful teacher and always explained eveything to me very clearly so I could educate our clients. I assume that your vet ran labwork to diagnose kidney disease? If so, then we can be fairly certain that this is what is going on... though a cat that is older and has compensated kidney function... if they begin to vomit for whatever reason, can appear to have worse than normal kidney function because of dehydration. Dehydration is a very important factor here. If he is dehydrated and has marginal or compensated kidney function, his values will be higher than normal and may actually cause him to feel nauseous. For example.... a 13 year old cat bopping along happily with the beginning stages of kidney disease, drinking a little extra water and effectively flushing out the kidney waste products (BUN and Creatnine) by staying very hydrated (this is why these kitties tend to pee alot). Then he, for some reason (hair ball, eats a funny bug or plant) begins to vomit. He can become decompensated very quickly... the waste products build up in his bloodstrem because he cannot keep himself hydrated and now he is vomitting because of his kidney and not from the initial cause (hairball, bug). So, you must make sure that he is well hydrated. The vet can give him subcutaneous (sub-q) fluids easily in the exam room in a regular appintment. Also, there is a little pill called periactin that can be given to stimulate appetite... typically 1/4 of a pill 1-2 times a day. Valium can also be given to stimulate appetite.
Kitties tend to act like everything is ok... sometimes it is hard to tell with a cat that they are sick. Typically with kidney disease there is no "pain" associated with the disease... just some lethargy, nausea and they like to be in a warm place. In late stage kidney disease,, as the waste products in the body become very high, humans even describe a sense of euphoria.
And yes... it is important to get him to eat to avoid hepatic lipidosis... right now, let him eat whatever he wants.... the vet could also prescribe something to help supress nausea. Eventually, as he does better and quits vomitting, he should ideally be fed a prescrition low protien diet... but for now, anything will be ok for him to eat.
Also, the kidneys produce a hormone which stimulates the bone marrow to produce red blood cells and as the kidneys begin to fail, sometimes they become anemic, which makesthem feel icky and tired. There is a shot called epogen that can be given to help with this.
I hope he is doing better soon... good luck and e-mail me if you have any questions!!!
Becky

FYI - no matter what treatments you use, it is IMPERATIVE that your kitty not go too long without eating. If he is interested in "people food", fresh tuna, etc. and can keep the food down, by all means - let him eat it! If he continues to throw up after eating or refuses to eat at all, I suggest taking him to a vet - and very quickly. Cats who stop eating (for any reason) are highly likely to develop hepatic lipidosis if they do not consume any food for 3-4 days or longer. Many cats can recover from hepatic lipidosis if it is treated immediately, but if it is untreated (or if they do not respond to treatment), it is frequently fatal.
I live with my cousin (we are both single) and between the two of us, we have four cats and two dogs. We used to have five cats (yes, I know that's a lot!) but one passed away. Several years ago, Haven, who was considerably more reclusive than our other cats, hid under my dresser for several days in a row. It was difficult to determine when or how much she was eating, since all of our cats "graze" from multiple bowls during the day; however, I knew she had been trying to eat something because she vomited every time she tried to eat. I took her to the vet on the morning of the third day. She was on parenteral nutrition and IV antibiotics for 10 days and did not recover. The vet believed Haven had developed hepatic lipidosis developed as a secondary illness and, even after much labwork, we were never certain what caused the primary problem. I had only had Havie for a year at the time that she passed away. She was a severely emaciated stray when I found her
(she was an adult cat, eating dirty food covered with ants, and weighed less than four pounds) and at the time I had surmised she might have been "dumped" for medical reasons - so I never knew her health history. Please don't delay in treating your kitty! I wish the best for his recovery. Please let us know how he is doing.

Thank you for at least considering the idea.
I do want to say that, although I voted Yes for calls to action (the
only one so far), I certainly do not want to make this a political
forum. As strong the feelings I have regarding certain political
officials and policies, I agree this is not the place for those
discussions.
However, some issues cross borders of topical definitions.
Falun Gong IS metaphysical and, yes, it IS political, and yes, there
are people in Austin who are affected by what is happening in China.
I knew that there would be opposition to my post, not for the content
so much as appropriateness of placement of the post, (I've received
much more oppostition from other groups which I belong) but I
considered it important enough for whatever flak I would receive.
One person even called my post "crap" while his auto-signature reads:
"A human being is part of the whole, called by us the Universe, a part
limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and
feelings, as something separated from the rest - - a kind of optical
illusion in his consciousness." (Albert Einstein)
What a strange dichotomy.
The rhetorical question I would like to put forth before I vow not to
post anything political here again (unless the poll swings the other
way) is this:
What are you going to do when OUR administration starts dictating
spirituality? We have seen from the last election that we no longer
have a true separation of church and state - "I feel like God wants
me to run for President" to "You're either with us or against us".
I really feel it is crucial in this time, Now, for all spiritual
people to stand side by side, and to support each other when we fall
or get knocked down - be it your neighboor across the street, or
across the world.
What would
Jesus/ Buddha/ Muhammed/ Krishna/ (your presiding deity)
Do?
Thank you.
Peace, love, light,
Kevin

For the sick kitty, Try Barton Creek Animal Hospital or the animal
clinic in Round Rock, by the theater on I35. They both do acupuncture on
animals. This can be very beneficial to supporting the cat. Good Luck.

I have a cat, Mr. T (a tuxedo kitty), who won't eat; for days the most
he's gotten down is a teaspoon of food. He has thrown up a lot of what
he has eaten. The weird thing is, he otherwise acts fairly normal, just
stays closer to home and is a little lethargic.
The vet has diagnosed early stage kidney disease, but isn't sure why he
won't eat. He has had a B-12 shot to stimulate appetite, which hasn't
done much.
Mr. T is a remarkable cat who had been living on the street for some
time when he showed up at our house at the age of three. He's a tough
guy, but just a sweetie at heart-a beautiful soul.
Any ideas?

Those are classic signs of UTI (Uninary Tract
Infection). UTI is very common with cats. Although,
if you have already brought the cat into the vet, I
would assume UTI is one of the first things that they
would consider.

The Importance of Whole Grain
The principle food in macrobiotic practice is whole grain. Not
whole grain bread, or whole grain noodles (although they are eaten
as well) but whole grains. The actual little grains themselves –
intact. This "wholeness" is essential not only to physical health
but also to mental stability and spiritual connectedness. The
energy packed into a little whole grain is so strong that left in
its hull, undisturbed, it will endure for centuries. (quote from
the Hip Chick's guide to Macrobiotics by Jessica Porter.)
Here at Casa we make whole grains a basic feature of our meals. We
do serve not so whole grains such as brown rice pasta, polenta (a
cracked corn), cornbread and pancakes for variety and for those on a
transitional diet; however on those meals, we make rice available
for those who choose it. Look for it next to the soup and raw food
or just ask the manager or the lead cook.

As long as we are embodied there will be politics and diplomacy because we are individuals. We must learn the ART of politics and diplomacy. If we are focusing on HOLISTIC healing, then nothing can be left out or considered bad. Religion also cannot be separated from life. It is our very life. We have to learn how to not misuse it, as so many have in the past. We must become spiritual warriors and fight to uplift spiritual laws and the human spirit. The transcendental, unlimited, omnipotent Lord can manifest in many forms for the different levels of understanding and that is to be honored.
From: centraltexasmetaphysical@yahoogroups.com [mailto:centraltexasmetaphysical@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Stacey Lemire Sent: Wednesday, May 25, 2005 1:03 PM To: Metaphysical Group Subject: [centraltexasmetaphysical] Falung Gong Human Rights
Dear Friends,
I have heard about this persecution. Veggie Heaven used to have info in their menus about it. I do believe it is important to stand up for what is moral and ethical, and, according to our group description, messages about politics are in conflict with our goals:
Description
Postings to this networking group include information about workshops and classes on all types of holistic approaches to health and healing, personal and spiritual growth and inspirational material which may include astrology, astronomy and science articles. Discussion on these topics are welcome.
We are also a referral network for bodyworkers and healers of all types, including energy workers (Reiki, Touch for Health, Healing Touch, etc.), psychics and metaphysicians or teachers of metaphysics.
Practitioners of one modality may have a question for a practitioner of another modality for clarification or referral purposes.
We do not adhere to any specific doctrines or codes; diversity is our strength. The goal of this group is to focus on Universal Truth, Love and Healing in its many forms. We are not interested in politics or religion as these are topics that focus on good versus bad/right versus wrong, creating divisiveness. We are interested in the "whole" person - body, mind and spirit and, without judgment, honor other group members' work and ideas.
Please let me hear from you – does the membership still wish to exclude messages like these? I’m also going to set up a poll for this question.
In order to vote in our poll about political messages, please go to
the group's home page and click "POLLS" on the left side of the page.
Click on the question to vote.
Thanks!

Suggested Donation: $7, If you can't afford the fees, a
donation according to your possibilities is suggested. Olena will
offer private sessions on a donation basis as well.
Who is Olena
Olena is a wonderful emptiness teacher born and currently living in
Munich Germany. She has been a teacher, and artist and has led
energy work (self-healing medicine) and meditation groups (known as
language of the heart ). Through all this time she kept seeking for
something missing until beginning last year when realization of the
Self happened.
She has been a disciple of Ramesh Balsekar the renknown Advaita
Vedanta Master.
Olena has never lost connection to the spaciousness; and there has
been a deep connection to the creator itself, but in her life there
has also been a lot of suffering. In 2002 during a retreat with
Ramesh Balsekar in India, a deep awakening happened and there was no
thought for a couple of weeks; but this was lost again. After two
years, enlightenment took place during a retreat with Avasa of Wales
in Austin Texas. Since then it is clear that there is nothing
personal. There is no separation. There is nothing to find or to get
outside.
She has been sharing the realization of the Self through satsangs in
Germany and in India during a Ramesh retreat in which she shared the
happening with the audience.
Olena talks about who we are and the way to free ourselves from
ignorance and illusion which cause fear, insecurity and suffering.
Everything that comes through Olena in satsang is an action of the
moment words, laugh songs, movement… whatever comes out of the
emptiness.
Olena web site: .www.herzenssprache.de (words are in German, but
picture of her is there! She does speak English and will do so at
the satsang)
Olena SAYS:
"You are the spaciousness and out of that in any moment action is
happening: fresh, new and creative. You are the eternity, the
nameless, what is never born, what can never die, what IS always.
There is no suffering, because suffering is in time and space.
The part of the mind, which tries to tell that you are a separate
entity; that part, which makes you feel unworthy and small; which
compares all the time (comparing is always past) and tells you how
terrible you are or how other people are or are not good or bad,
which judges and gives you or others fault and blame, which supports
fear all the time ( fear is future) and which is never in the
moment; this part, finally gives up by grace from the Source itself
and there is deep understanding. This part of the mind, this aspect
of the ego is always yearning to give up and is ready to stay as a
real servant, as a little part of the awareness.
BEING can't know ITSELF. So BEING as the basic of everything created
the I AM, the first action of BEING, through the human mind to go
through separation and to return HOME again in consciousness: to
know ITSELF as love, energy and light, because everything IS same,
no separation."

May be a little off-topic, but not really.
From "Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group"...
"For more than fifty years, the Chinese communist regime has had its
way in destroying people.s wills and crushing non-conforming groups
through terror and deceit; it had never failed at any previous
persecution. The continuing appeals by Falun Gong practitioners in
Tiananmen Square, and the insistence on the right to practice by
millions upon millions around the nation, made it clear that Falun
Gong practitioners will not yield to the persecution. Embarrassed and
enraged, Jiang, the formal China.s president, instructed through
the "610 Office" system that "No measure is too excessive against
Falun Gong," ordering the use of extreme torture. As the persecution
continued to meet practitioners. peaceful resistance, Jiang.s
personal crusade became a personal vendetta. "
"At the simplest level, Falun Gong is a way of life, a choice to be a
good person with higher moral standards. Practitioners give up
selfish and harmful thoughts. They let go of attachments to false
concepts such as fame, wealth, and lust. They stop worrying about
being taken advantage of. In case of conflicts, they consider others
first. They search inside to find their own shortcomings, and attain
inner peace. This, combined with five sets of gentle exercises of
proven efficacy in health improvement, has enabled practitioners to
achieve improved health, morality, and purposeful living. It is a way
of life that, once experienced, few are willing to give up. "
I simply do not understand why they are being persecuted. I have read
Li Hongzhi's book, there is nothing in there that threatens the
Chinese Government. It is simply about a way of thinking and living
that governments don't understand.
Can you imagine if the U.S. Government started torturing you and
members of your spiritual community, simply for having beliefs that
are not dictated by the Party line?
At a minimum, please go to Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group
website and sign their petition. There are currently not enough
signatures there to make any impact, whatsoever. Following is a link
to the Take Action page, then follow the link to Sign Petition Here.
Warning:
some of the internal links on the site contain very graphic images,
none on this page -
http://www.falunhr.org/index.php?
option=content&task=view&id=413&Itemid=91
Then please ask any other relevant newsgroups/ listservs you know to
sign the petition, also. This is a simple thing to do for millions of
people suffering for their right to live peacefully in a manner of
their choosing.
To learn more about the practice of Falun Gong,
http://www.falundafa.org has all of the books and RealVideo of all of
the exercises available online for FREE.
There is a group in Austin that meets regularly to practice. I
currently have an email out to find the location and time. I will
post a short message when I get that information.
Peace, Love, Light,
Kevin

AM Subject: Seekers Round Table -
Thursday May 19 - Stress Relief through Conscious Breathing Importance: High
Jules' Modem is down so I'm sending the
announcement for this week's program. I do not have a complete mailing
list like Julia sop I am sending this to all I know with hopes that you will
share it with anyone else who would be interested. This week's program
features Stacey Lemire. She's great. You'll love her
presentation. She's experienced. Knows a great deal about
health. She walks the talk. See you all Thursday. Blessings,
Sharra
Stress is a
factor in emotional distress and physical imbalance. One of the easiest
and simplest methods of managing stress is the practice of conscious
breathing. This reduces the effects of stress by providing life-giving
oxygen to the muscles and organs while releasing damaging toxins. Doing
this simple technique of following the breath 10 minutes a day will help you
create greater health and a more balanced and peaceful life! In this
guided meditation, participants will experience the flow of breath in the spine
through each of the 7 energy centers.

1) Satsang with Olena (Olena is a joy to be around==I recommend her
meetings! Amanda)
This is an invitation to participate in a nurturing environment in a
search for joy and self discovery. Come join Olena on an exploration
of our real nature.
When: Thursday, May 26th 8pm
Where: at the home of Ed Bloom
French Place area===3103 Cherrywood, phone 468-2262
Olena's local cell phone 576-3309

Hello, I have been an RMT (#036100) for 1 1/2 years but got busy with
other things, like grad school. I have a table and finally got a
massage chair a few days ago! I am eager to get moving again (within
reason around class schedules). I live in an apt. complex and can
only
do outcalls. I understand the "going rate" for chair massage is
$1.00/minute. May I ask what is a reasonable current rate for
housecalls, considering my table weighs 47 pounds and gas is over
$2.00/gallon? I would like to learn more chair massage and sports
massage. How does one set up a table/chair at conventions, events,
etc. Is there a special permit/procedure? I would appreciate any
info.
Thanks!

"A moment of attention is enough. As you look at them or listen to
them, there is an alert stillness - perhaps only two or three
seconds, perhaps longer. That is enough for something more real to
emerge than the roles we usually play and identify with. All roles
are part of the conditioned consciousness that is the human mind.
That which emerges through the act of attention is the unconditioned -
who you are in your essence, underneath your name and form. You are
no longer acting out a script: you become real. When that dimension
emerges from within you, it also draws it forth from within the other
person." Eckhart Tolle, Silence Speaks

I'm not into the money thing. You can only sleep in one bed

be happy. All I need are clothes on my back, a decent meal,
and a little loving when I feel like it. That's the bottom line.

1) Camp Indigo July 18th- 22nd, 2005
Camp Indigo is offered annually as a weeklong conscious summer
camp.
It facilitates exciting and creative projects that offer an
opportunity for children to journey into themselves to discover and
embrace their amazing spirits. The benefits for these children are:
a higher level of respect for themselves and others, clear
communication and expression of self, increased self-confidence,
refined intuitive skills and the creation of tools for relaxation,
healing and true expression of their authentic self.
Camp Indigo celebrates the Divine nature of children. Camp Indigo
was created in 2001 as a loving, harmonious medium for the full
recognition and expression of Love, which is carried deep and pure
with in the hearts of children.
It is a volunteer community effort to nurture and cultivate the
natural state of peace and Divinity alive in children. When they are
allowed to fully and unconditionally express their Authentic Self,
they teach us the secrets of living fully and freely.
It is an environment that is safe, nurturing, fun, spiritual and
creative, where children can freely express, heal, be acknowledged
and heard. We create a space where there is recognition of these
natural qualities to be explored, acknowledged and lived from. The
Camp empowers the children to explore the essence of who they are.
Camp Indigo is in its fourth incarnation. Our camp has impacted
the hearts of many and after numerous requests we are honored to
bring it back to the community.

the oldest of all ego lies." From Carson's Commentary

No one lives his life.Disguised since childhood, haphazardly
assembled, from voices and fears and little pleasures, we come of
age as masks.
Somewhere there must be storehouses, where all these lives are laid
away, like suits of armor or old carriages or clothes hanging limply
on the walls.Maybe all paths lead there, to the repository of
unlived lives.

something that can be achieved, or not achieved, by the personal
self. In fact, our ideas about enlightenment are irrelevant to the
