3) Being Intimate with Nature
An Afternoon of Contemplation and Poetry
April 23rd, 2005 – 1:00-6:00 P.M.
Barton Creek Greenbelt
The Art of Being/Seeing
Join us for a day of being in nature, exploring the relationship
between self and world through the living experience of the present
moment. We'll intimately explore a small section of the Barton Creek
Greenbelt, learning to by-pass the mind so we can see the world from
a deeper place in all its rich detail and completeness. As we see
the world, we'll reflect on our identity as human beings and our
relationship with the larger world. From deep seeing comes insight
and its natural expression in poetry.
The day will include periods of contemplation/writing followed by
group sharing. We'll also practice walking meditation, and for those
who are interested, a swim in Barton Creek. No experience in writing
is needed. Instruction will be provided.
Paméla is a lover of nature, poet and long-time student of Buddhism.
Her first book of poems – Bird of the Present Moment – will be
published this spring by Plainview Press.
We hold within us the entire cosmos. How does the cosmos seek to
express itself through this one life?
Cost: $40-50 sliding scale
For more information, including a more detailed schedule, list of
things to bring, where to meet, how to sign up, plans for a rainy
day, etc., contact Paméla Overeynder at touchingpeace@...
or call 512.428.9921. Paméla will be away from April 1-8th so expect
a reply to inquiries around April 9th.

4) Deva Premal and Miten Concert
The One World Theatre
Thursday April 28th.

Reception at 6 pm
Concert at 7 pm
Dance Party at 9 pm

Amrita and Ezra request that you bring a new or used book
with you to donate to the African project initiated by the
Foundation for Divine Consciousness
http://www.divineconsciousness.org/display.php/tid/54.html

Please mark your calendars early for what promises to be a most
memorable evening of spectacular music with European musicians Deva
Premal and Miten.

Last year we were introduced to the enchanting music of Premal and
Miten, and their CD's have been a constant presence in our home,
hearts, and lives ever since. We wanted to create an event for our
friends and their friends to enjoy this music together, and are
sponsoring a concert featuring them at the beautiful One World
Theatre on Thursday, April 28 starting at 7 pm. Tickets are only
$25, plus a new or used book for the African Book Drive. For anyone
unfamiliar with them and their music, attached are a few clips and
you can visit www.devamusic.com for more information. We can't say
enough about the power of their music to inspire, expand, and enrich
your heart.

The space that these incredibly talented musicians create is
indescribable, the aesthetics of the One World Theatre are
exquisite; add to those the energy of awakened and appreciative
concert goers, and we will experience a truly magical evening.

The concert will last from 1 1/2 to 2 hours, with a dance party to
follow for those who wish to stay. To reserve your tickets, please
send a check for $25 for each ticket, payable to Leslie Moor, to
2705 Berenson Lane, Austin, TX 78746. You must include an email
address or fax number for us to confirm your reservation and deliver
tickets to you. The One World Theatre has limited seating, so we are
uncertain if tickets will be available the night of the show. Please
do not call One World Theatre for tickets or with questions; since
this is a private party their box office is not involved with the
process. Email Ezra at moor@... with any questions you may
have about the evening.

Feel free to forward this email to your friends who would enjoy and
appreciate this fabulous event. Hope to see all of you on the 28th.

Peace
Ezra and Amrita

Hi Dale,

I also attend Unity Church of the Hills.  They have a Wednesday night study group on the Course in Miracles.  And there is also one at Unity Center on Dessau road that meets Tuesday afternoons.  These study groups are a great way to learn more about metaphysics.

Course in Miracles is an amazing channeled book delivered by Jesus to a woman in the 70s.  It's quite incredible and helps to transform and create miracles in your life.

Many blessings in your search.

Hello Dale,

You may consider checking out a Unity Church.  They have bookstore with a lot of current Metaphysical books and the approach to life is Metaphysically based.  I attend Unity Church of the Hills and have had some some wonderful experiences there. The web site is www.unityhills.org  As for a School of Metaphysics, I have not heard of one.

"It did not matter what we expected from life, but rather what life
expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of
life, and instead to think of ourselves as those being questioned
by life - daily and hourly. Our answer must consist, not in talk
and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life
ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer
to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets
for each of us." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning

We continue to seek the right answer while asking the wrong
question. The answer we are seeking is in the experience we are
avoiding.

Karen Vandiver, LPC, LMFT. DATE: Saturday, April 2, 2005 from 10am
to 3pm. PHONE: 327-8355. Fee: $48/$40 for members. CEU's available.
Unity Center North on Desau Road. This class is for beginners but
all are welcome. We will explore the different ways in which
meditation can enrich the quality of our lives. Methods of
meditation have existed for thousands of years as a spiritual
discipline to achieve enlightenment. Some believe that it
facilitates individuation. Today there are many practical ways in
which it is utilized such as managing stress, relaxation, insight,
problem solving, thought stopping, contemplation, and solitude.
Through discussion and practice we will sample the many facets of
this ancient technique while exploring some modern applications.
This deepens and enriches one's interior life while energizing us to
live in the world in a meaningful way. Bring a pillow if you prefer
sitting on the floor for meditation. Also bring a sack lunch.
Included in this workshop will be meditation using Unity Center's
beautiful labyrinth which is a replica of the labyrinth at Notre
Dame de Chartres near Paris, France, which she visited many times.
Also on loan to Unity Center at this time from the Jung Society of
Austin and which will be utilized during this workshop, will be a
view of the Jung Society's collection of 26 mandala's created and
donated by Chicago artist Geoffey Graham. [Karen Vandiver, LPC,
LMFT, is a psychotherapist in private practice in Austin, Texas with
over 20 years of experience and training. She is a past president of
the Jung Society of Austin and a class presenter there for 15 years.
She began her own meditation practice in 1980 and since that time
has studied different meditation disciplines. Her own practice
includes participating in silent retreats annually.]

_____________________________________________ Discover The Simple
Truths of The Tree Of Life, A Demystified Vision by Mahalene Louis,
Lic. Litt. This lecture will be held Friday evening, May 13, 2005
beginning at 7:30pm. The fee for the lecture is $15 for non-members
and $12 for members and will begin at 7:30pm at Whole Earth
Provisions located at 2410 San Antonio near UT campus. For more
information call 632-8952. Whether aware or not, any sentient life-
form is on a journey to perfection, i.e. a journey to becoming
conscious. Such attainment is the greatest adventure, as it aligns
your being to universal principles so intuitively correct that they
reveal and open on the gates of heaven. What if this journey was
actually mapped out in symbols, which are real because they are the
same across times and cultures? What if some decluttering of our
Judeo- Christian mysticism was necessary, in light of knowledge
being controlled and hidden for so long? Possibly then, we would
come into a vision that creates harmony in between opposite
viewpoints, and provides more presence. Possibly we would go beyond
the limitations of languages, embody the words we speak, and thus
experience a reality filled with grace.

For more information call 632-8952. 1) Roles and Goals : The 22
Paths of the Tree In our mind we have hundreds of personalities,
each one having its own goal, with its own belief system and logic,
and each one thinking that happiness is in a different direction.
Ask yourself: if I keep doing this, how will things be in three
months, in six months, in a year? Not that great, is it? To engage
your momentum, and be fully present, let us travel the 22 paths of
the Tree. It will give us a compassionate look at the roles we are
playing, these that are conscious and those, not so conscious, these
we choose to keep, and those which we are ready to retire. 2) The
Ultimate Boundary : The Sphere of Knowledge Would you like to
resolve your inner differences, and access more easily the parts of
you that are compassionate, clear sentient, inspired and wise? Are
you tired with feeling like a stranger in a strange land? This class
will allow for a greater understanding of how the Tree of Life, in
its accepted form, only mirrors and reinforces the division of those
who interpreted it. By offering a different viewpoint beyond our
cultural indoctrinations, it will permit for those divisions, which
are keeping us in resistance and suffering, to be seen and
ultimately, experienced and released. [Mahalene Louis, Lic. Litt.,

"Choosing Your Tribe" Urban Retreat
April 15-17, 2005
The Life Dance Institute & NiaSpace
3212 S Congress Avenue, Austin 78704

In every life, it eventually becomes necessary to discern who empowers
you, supports you, feeds you. The ability to identify these essential
individuals – to select your tribe – is important to one's progress
and spiritual evolution. The ability to choose among those who feed
you and those who do not can make the difference between a life well
lived and an enduring sense of lost opportunities, overwhelm or failure.

The "Choosing Your Tribe" workshop provides the context, structure and
guidance to sort through these key issues in order to help you discern
among your relationships. Based on key shamanic concepts and
exercises, we will explore a new methodology of examining the
spiritual connections between you and others, using cross-cultural
observations of relationships based on families of animal guides,
nature spirits and guides, as well as the underlying "tones" of these
groups.

This program is appropriate for the public, as well as practitioners.
CEUs are available for LPCs, Social Workers and Marriage & Family
Therapists through The Life Dance Institute, Austin TX.

Registration: $175 ($200 at the door). $85 deposit by April 1 holds

LEARN TO ACCESS THE AKASHIC RECORDS

Experience the sacred energy of the Akashic Records and learn to use this ancient tool.  The weekend will transform your life!

The Akashic Records are the individual records of a soul from the time it leaves its point of origin until its return.  At the time we make the decision to experience life as an independent soul, there is a field of energy created to record every thought, word, emotion, and action generated by that experience. That field of energy is the Akashic Records. Akashic, because it is composed of Akasha (the energetic substance from which all life is formed) and Records, because its objective is to record all life experience.

Empower yourself by learning to access the Akashic Records. This is a transformational process that will assist you in making life-changing decisions and can improve and enhance all areas of your life.

 Level I Akashic Record Class  April 23rd & 24th (Sat. & Sun.) from 12pm - 5pm (both days required)

In a Level I class you will learn to open your own Records in order to access your inner being and bring spirit and physical into alignment. You will learn the essentials of journaling, and how cataloging your efforts, in your Records, can enhance your life. Each day of the class you will be accessing your Akashic Records and learning different ways to utilize this ancient tool.

You will receive: An Akashic Record Manual that includes guidelines and other useful material; a wallet sized prayer card; and a pad of paper for journaling.  A Certificate of Completion from Akashic Record Consultants International (www.arc-akashicrecords.org) will be issued at the end of class.

Location: AustinTexas. The cost is $250 with a $50 deposit due by April 9th. (To repeat Level I the cost is $125)  Payment by cash, check or charge through www.paypal.com. Receipt will be given at registration. If charging, balance due must be completed prior to class.

For more information or to register for this class please contact:  Jodi Lovoi at (512) 301-1807 or JLOVOI@...

Jodi is a teacher and consultant with over 6 years’ experience using this method of accessing the Akashic Records. Jodi is certified by and is an active member of “Akashic Record Consultants International”. Jodi holds a degree in business management that brings a practical, grounded approach to her work and she is dedicated to helping people connect to their inner power, creativity and truth.

There are 3 levels of classes.  Level I - Learn to access your Akashic Records. Level II - Learn to access the Records of others.   Level III - Learn to access the Records on a deeper level. Some examples of a Level III would be… Clearing past lives and ancestral lineage, releasing old belief patterns, enhancing your creativity.... Monthly study groups and practice sessions are offered for continued learning and support.

Who is Olena

Olena is a wonderful emptiness teacher born and currently living in
Munich Germany. She has been a teacher, and artist and has led
energy work (self-healing medicine) and meditation groups (known as
language of the heart ). Through all this time she kept seeking for
something missing until beginning last year when realization of the
Self happened.

She has been a disciple of Ramesh Balsekar the renknown Advaita
Vedanta Master.

Olena has never lost connection to the spaciousness; and there has
been a deep connection to the creator itself, but in her life there
has also been a lot of suffering. In 2002 during a retreat with
Ramesh Balsekar in India, a deep awakening happened and there was no
thought for a couple of weeks; but this was lost again. After two
years, enlightenment took place during a retreat with Avasa of Wales
in Austin Texas. Since then it is clear that there is nothing
personal. There is no separation. There is nothing to find or to get
outside.

She has been sharing the realization of the Self through satsangs in
Germany and in India during a Ramesh retreat in which she shared the
happening with the audience.

Olena talks about who we are and the way to free ourselves from
ignorance and illusion which cause fear, insecurity and suffering.
Everything that comes through Olena in satsang is an action of the
moment words, laugh songs, movement… whatever comes out of the
emptiness.

Olena web site: .www.herzenssprache.de (words are in German, but
picture of her is there! She does speak English and will do so at
the satsang)

Olena SAYS:

"You are the spaciousness and out of that in any moment action is
happening: fresh, new and creative. You are the eternity, the
nameless, what is never born, what can never die, what IS always.
There is no suffering, because suffering is in time and space.
The part of the mind, which tries to tell that you are a separate
entity; that part, which makes you feel unworthy and small; which
compares all the time (comparing is always past) and tells you how
terrible you are or how other people are or are not good or bad,
which judges and gives you or others fault and blame, which supports
fear all the time ( fear is future) and which is never in the
moment; this part, finally gives up by grace from the Source itself
and there is deep understanding. This part of the mind, this aspect
of the ego is always yearning to give up and is ready to stay as a
real servant, as a little part of the awareness.

BEING can't know ITSELF. So BEING as the basic of everything created
the I AM, the first action of BEING, through the human mind to go
through separation and to return HOME again in consciousness: to
know ITSELF as love, energy and light, because everything IS same,
no separation."

Author, John Perkins, "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man: What Next

John Perkins started and stopped writing Confessions of an Economic
Hit Man four times over 20 years. He says he was threatened and
bribed in an effort to kill the project, but after 9/11 he finally
decided to go through with this expose of his former professional
life -- a book which would become a New York Times bestseller.
Perkins, a former chief economist at Boston strategic-consulting
firm Chas. T. Main, says he was an "economic hit man" for 10 years,
helping U.S. intelligence agencies and multinationals cajole and
blackmail foreign leaders into serving U.S. foreign policy and
awarding lucrative contracts to American business. "Economic hit men
(EHMs) are highly paid professionals who cheat countries around the
globe out of trillions of dollars," Perkins writes.

Documentary, "Sacrifice"
Each year thousands of young girls are recruited from rural Burmese
villages to work in the sex industry in neighboring Thailand. Held
for years in debt bondage in illegal Thai brothels, they suffer
extreme abuse by pimps, clients, and the police. The trafficking of
Burmese girls has soared in recent years as a direct result of
political repression in Burma. Human rights abuses, war and ethnic
discrimination has displaced hundreds of thousands of families,
leaving families with no means of livelihood. An offer of employment
in Thailand is a rare chance for many families to escape extreme
poverty. Sacrifice examines the social, cultural, and economic
forces at work in the trafficking of Burmese girls into prostitution
in Thailand. It is the story of the valuation and sale of human
beings, and the efforts of teenage girls to survive a personal
crisis born of economic and political repression.

Video Night at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, "Bombies"
"Bombies" examines the problem of cluster bombs -- devastating
weapons designed to shred humans by propelling thousands of sharp
steel fragments across a large area. The terror of these weapons is
compounded by the fact that many of the yellow canisters fail to
detonate on impact, becoming super landmines that can explode at the
slightest touch. In Laos, nearly every day someone is killed by
ordnance dropped by the United States over three decades
ago. "Bombies"
tells the story of cluster bombs and their deadly legacy in Laos
through the personal experiences of villagers, activists and others
who deal with them on a daily basis. Cluster bombs remain a standard
part of the U.S. arsenal and have most recently been used in Iraq,
Afghanistan, and Kosovo.

Wednesday and Thursday, March 30 and 31, 7 pm Third Coast Activist
Film Night at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, "THE TAKE"
(by Naomi Klein and Avi Lewis)
South America's increasingly successful struggles against decades of
U.S.-imposed economic order are demanding international attention
and causing alarm among North American elite. These struggles, which
span the continent, form an undeniable trend that deserves the
support and attention of those of us who are in a position to offer
real solidarity. "The Take" documents the movement in Argentina
where workers have occupied and re-started production in hundreds of
factories, many dormant due to the country's economic collapse after
years of complying with the International Monetary Fund and the
prescriptions of global capital. Part of the film focuses on
suburban Buenos Aires, where thirty unemployed auto-parts workers
walk into their idle factory, roll out sleeping mats and refuse to
leave. All they want is to re-start the silent machines. This simple
act - The Take - has the power to turn the globalization debate on
its head. Film
website: http://thetake.org
"Stirring!" - The New York Times
"Extraordinary!" - The New Yorker
"A cross between Michael Moore's caustic style and Ken Loach's
eloquence." - The International Herald Tribune "An eye-opening,
possibility-widening documentary!" - Newsday "[Its] greatest
achievement is in personalizing the globalization debate." - New
York Post "Builds tension like a quality thriller....a remarkable
film that demonstrates that in the fight against corporate
globalization, resistance isn't futile." - Mother Jones
Location: Alamo Drafthouse Cinema (4th and Colorado, downtown).
Tickets ($6.50 general, $5 student/senior) are available at the
event or online at http://www.originalalamo.com/downtown/

Unless otherwise noted, events are free and open to the public.

Dear members,

Greetings from http://www.cyberastro.com/

A spiritual celebration brings a fine spirit of devotion in the air.
There is a certain mood which becomes more and more intense as
the hour approaches. Temples throng with devotees and it is during
these times one feels that the definition given by the Puranic
dictionary about a place for pilgrimage is so apt. The definition
says" any place where footfalls are many and uncountable is a
place of pilgrimage.' A temple during any spiritual celebration
becomes a place of pilgrimage.

The Sikh community has the concept of humility as one of the
highest source of prayer. In their place of worship which is a
Gurudwara, we often find the rich and the poor alike, cleaning the
premises or shoes of other devotees. Ultimately the devotion is to
the Great one and it is only heartfelt when the mind is without ego.

There is great power in devotion and in every religion this is upheld.

RAHU - KETU TRANSIT
===================
I will continue with the 9th house matters in my next Mail,
presently let us consider Rahu and Ketu and their recent change of
transit. But before I do this, I feel, from the tenor of the mails we
recieve in cyberastro, that many of you have problems in comprehension of
houses and their lordships. I feel that a little time devoted to this
subject once again will aid our newer members to relate to the
discussions in a better manner. For this, I will rely on some
explanations provided in an earlier article:

Basic Guidance
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In Sanskrit, the term used for each house is "bhava"; meaning the
field of action. It is a division of the 360 degree zodiac cycle into 12
equal parts, each of 30 degrees. Moving in an anti-clockwise
manner, the houses are numbered from 1 to 12 (normally
represented in roman numerals).
House Numbers 1,4, 7 & 10 are called "Kendras" or Angular
houses. The planets situated at these angular points tend to be
strong & active. House numbers 1, 5 & 9 are terms as "trikona" or
Trine houses. Each house has a "ruler"; this depends on the zodiac
sign that is allocated to the house. Just as each house represents a
particular "field" of activity, the ruler of a particular house represents
the "lord" of that field. Given below is a list of the house
significations attached to each house:
House#    Signification
------        ------------------------------------------
1              Self, body, general prosperity, well bring
2              Livelihood, speech
3              Power, motivation, interests, friends, brother
4              Happiness, home, prosperity, mother
5              Creativity, intelligence, romance, children
6              Disease, enmity
7              Partnership, marriage
8              Death, destruction, longevity, research
9              Fortune, grace, father
10             Skill, achievement, success
11             Gains, aspirations, impulses
12             Losses & Expenses, sorrow, liberation/detachment
This system allows us to translate house nomenclature into
meaningful terms.
The Nodes of Moon
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let us now focus on the two nodes of the planet Moon, namely,
Rahu and Ketu.

The point where Moon crosses the elliptic while moving from
southern direction to the Northern direction is known as Rahu and
the point on the converse path on the North-South axis is called
Ketu. The nodes are thus two points 180 degree apart, and this is
the reason why they are always opposite each other.

However just because they are opposite each other does not mean
that they are opposite in nature also; they may give very similar
effects or even very diverse ones. In Vedic Astrology, they are
planets that chart our past karmic journey. While one maps the
past, the other takes the clue and initiates tendencies in to the
mortal as per karmic requirements.

Rahu and Ketu are difficult planets and they require a keen
observation and study in everyone's life. They are known as our
karmic planets and are best handled with adequate dollops of care.
The appearance of Rahu, according to myth, is one without a body.
So Rahu is only a head and whatever is fed to Rahu cannot be
assimilated in the body. Hence, Rahu creates insatiable desire for
more.. and more.

Ketu is the severed body of Rahu. So Ketu is one who has no
head. The significance with Ketu is one of delay and all matters
related to the unknown. A face provides an identity and Ketu is
faceless. It will not be difficult to relate to basic traits triggered by
Ketu in the light of this basic information.

The transit of these two karmic planets have changed in February
2005. I have elaborated the broad effects of these transit changes,
in the Vedic Sky article of February and the current month. These
are broad outlines - so to provide our members with a fine tuned
analysis of the effects of these planets, with a custom view of each
horoscope, we will release a few interesting new reports in the next
few days. Watch out for our announcement.

I am sending this to several groups at once.  I apologize if you find this in your mail box more than one time.

Below my signature is food for thought from an advertisement for a canned marketing plan available to massage therapists.  The ideas can apply to any small business. (I cut out the advertisement part but left the link in case you are interested in purchasing their program.)

Also, I wanted to announce a new Yahoo group for massage therapy in San Antonio!  We don’t have a description or membership guidelines at this time.  The main goal at this point is for it to be a networking group where people help people.  It can be a group for clients and therapists or a group for RMTs only.  If you live or work near San Antonio and would like to help set up this group, just send a blank e-mail to sanantoniomassage-subscribe@yahoogroups.com and let us know your ideas.  Also, please forward this information to people you know who might be interested.

As with any area in Texas, San Antonio is unique in its needs for massage therapy; therefore, it would be best to have this group moderated by someone from the area.  Please write to me off-group at staceylemire@... if you are interested in this opportunity. (Amy G – are you out there???)

Right now qualified therapists in the San Antonio area are looking for work and would appreciate any leads.  If you have some and do not want to join the group, please send them to me and I will pass them along.  Thanks to all of you!

I hope you benefit from the information below.

Sincerely,

S ô¿ô

Stacey Lemire

 Dear Massage Therapists and Bodyworkers,

Tax season is well under way. So how did your business do last year? Did you meet or exceed your financial goals? If you're knodding your head, "no", then I ask, "What are you doing differently today to grow your business financially?

If you're like many therapists you're doing nothing more than hoping for a better year, but doing the same thing and expecting different results will get you exactly where you are right now.

So what's the problem? Therapists don't have the time to sit down and write out a marketing plan because they're too busy trying to make a living doing hands on work. Besides, it takes dedicated time and effort to create new marketing ideas.

Unfortunately, you must be clinical in your marketing preparation if your business is to grow at the rate you want it to. Far too often we rush into doing things without planning and preparing. And we wonder why our results are poor.

WHY DOES THE MASSAGE MARKETING PLAN WORK?

In order to create a thriving business, you need to use a multitude of lead generation strategies. It amazes me that people say things like, "I'm just not able to grow my service business. I've tried lots of things, but I just can't seem to generate the volume of business I need." When I ask them how many lead generation tools they are using, I get answers like this - "Well, I do some Yellow Pages advertising and send some letters out".

Now I'm not saying you can't have success just from using the likes of Yellow Pages advertising and sales letters, because you can, but just think what you could do if you used 5, 10, 15, 20 or more lead generation tools to grow your business! What effect would this have if each lead generation tool was working well for you?

Here are just a few lead generation tools you can apply to your business. I wonder how many you're using right now?

1) Follow up

2) Press releases

3) Endorsement relationships

4) Networking

5) Free consultations

6) Credit card acceptance for easy paying

7) Profit from repeat sales

8) Email

9) Newsletters

10) Seminars

11) Questionnaires

12) Web Site

13) Direct mail sales letters

14) Signage

15) Letters of thanks/appreciation

16) Gift Vouchers

17) Articles

18) Window Displays

19) Free gifts and incentives

20) Referral incentives

It's as simple as it seems. The more lead generation tools you use, the more income you'll generate. The key, however, is to produce tools that give you a return on your investment. More importantly, when you use more lead generation tools you stabilize the growth of your business. If you're using 5 or 10 lead generation tools, and one of them starts to fade, you've still got numerous other tools working tirelessly for you.

On the other hand, if you're using only one or two lead generation tools and one of them fades, your marketing system is cut in two - making your business less stable! Which would you prefer?

Would you like something to challenge and strengthen your mental
forces? At the next disappointing event, reflect:

"This is also just as much a part of life as what I label a
favorable event. As a whole person, I see both sides equally; I do
not split events into good and bad. Being whole, I see the whole."

Do this, even if you don't understand it, for it contains a
tremendous secret.

Vernon Howard,  Esoteric Mind Power

  We created an illusion of separation with ideas of opposites: good
versus evil; favorable versus unfavorable; fair versus unfair, etc.,
and then we chose to live in our illusion. Judgment is the tool
that we use to facilitate our creation. Without judgment, the
illusion vanishes.

Butterfly: by leanervaldr and rdelia garicia (if you would like a
beautiful powerpoint presentation of this --email amanda and she'll
get it to you by replying to this newsletter!)

One day, a small opening appeared on a cocoon. A man watched for the
butterfly to emerge as it struggled to force its body through a
small hole.

Then the butterfly seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared
as if it had gotten as far as it could and couldn't go any further.

So the man decided to help the butterfly—He took a pair of scissors
and opened the cocoon. The butterfly emerged easily, but it had
withered body and tiny and shriveled wings.

The man watched because he expected that at any moment, the wings
would open, enlarge and expand enough to be able to support the
butterfly's body.

It never happened, however, and in fact, the butterfly spend the
rest of its life crawling around with a withered body and shriveled
wings and was never able to fly.

What this man, in his kindness and goodwill did not understand was
that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the
butterfly to get through the tiny opening was God's way of forcing
fluid from the body of the butterfuly into its wings so that it
could be ready for flight oncle it achieved its freedom from the
cocoon.

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If God
allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles, it would
cripple us, we could not get as strong as we could have been.

I asked for strength, he gave me difficulties.
I asked for wisdom, he gave me problems to solve.
I asked for prosperity, he gave me brain and brawn to work.

I asked for courage, He gave me obstacles.
I asked for favors, He gave me opportunities.
I asked for love, and He gave me troubled people to help.

I received nothing I wanted, but everything I needed.
Live life without fear, confront all obstacles, and evince that you
can overcome them.

SILVA NEWS & SCHEDULE OF FOR AUSTIN AREA

Discover The Power

Of Your Mind

A quantum leap in the perception of human potential came with the discovery that we can learn to function with awareness and self control at alpha and theta brain wave frequencies.  At these frequencies, more of the mind goes to work for us with strikingly powerful and amazing results.

Jose Silva, the creator of the Silva Method, began his research into the secrets of the human mind and brain waves in 1944.  His research confirmed that IQ could be raised through mental control of alpha waves.  This led him into a whole new related area. Today it is called Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI),  among other things, and many of the current groups practicing mind enhancement got their start with The Silva Method.

Independent scientific studies have since demonstrated that alpha brain wave activity is associated with inner levels of mental activity, tranquility, rest, inspiration, accelerated healing. creativity, intuition, learning and memory.

No wonder his work has been written about in such publications as Newsweek, Harpers Bazaar, the Boston Globe, he New York Times, Success, the St, Petersburg Times and hundreds of others.

Some Notable Comments

“The Silva Method gave me a tool to use in teaching the patient how to begin the interaction and how to become involved in his own health process.  I would say that it is the most powerful single tool that I have to offer.”

                                                                                                       O. Carl Simonton M.D.

Jose Silva, the founder of The Silva Method, is a man I have admired for a long time.  I have used the Silva Method of visualization for many years.  It has helped me overcome illnesses and accidents and avoid surgery.  I urge you to attend Silva’s training sessions.”

HI everyone.  I know you haven't heard from me for a while.  I've been working in Pennsylvania on a great project.

Basically, I successfully created a lot of what I wanted through the Prosperity Process that I run; i.e., I was walking my talk!  It just wasn't in Austin!

I finished that particular project yesterday, flew home late last night and crashed.

OK... now I need support.  Here I am nicely featured at this weekend's Body, Mind, Spirit Expo and I'm not at all prepared for either presentation I am scheduled to offer.

Anyone who can, please come and help!  Ask questions, do some of the presentation yourself, at least be introduced as the wonderful coach / healer / thinker / friend you are!

I'd love to see you there!

I'm speaking today, Saturday, at 4pm and tomorrow, Sunday at 2.  I'll be in Room 1 both times.

The expo is usually quite worthy of attendance - lots of information and lots of good people.

Enjoy!  And, I hope to catch up with everyone soon!

Dear Friends,

I’ve had two AWEsome experiences with this and I wanted to spread the word.

A few weeks ago we had Richard Unger here for a Hand Analysis Evening and it was amazing.  Everyone who was there gained a greater perspective.  I still have the info about it on our website http://www.chakratherapies.com/html/hand_analysis_evening.html   Richard will be back in April or July (not sure yet).  So many wanted to come to the one in February (seating was limited) that we are thinking of having him come again.  If you are interested in coming to one of these evenings, please contact me and I will set it up.

In the meantime, if you have any interest at all in this modality, Ronelle Coburn will be coming to Austin to teach a workshop on how to read hands.  I’ve had my hands read before meeting Richard and the work that comes through him is more expansive than anything I have experienced before.  Below is some info on the class.  Please contact Ronelle directly if you are interested in this workshop (her phone number is below).  I don’t know the dates or the cost at this time.

As it turns out, I’ve decided to hold it in Austin this time around (usually it’s in Houston).  I so appreciate your offer to send this out to your network.

I am writing to let you know about a special workshop that is being offered in Austin in March that is usually offered only in San Francisco, Zurich, and Houston.

Life Purpose Hand Analysis Intensive Weekend
:  Life Purpose Hand Analysis decodes the unalterable map of your fingerprints to reveal your soul psychology and interprets the changeable shape and lines of your hands to understand your core personality psychology.  Your hands are about who you are and who you would like to be at your highest potential.  The next introductory weekend course is in March with Ronelle Coburn in AUSTIN.  After this weekend of personal enlightenment you will be able to interpret fingerprints for Life Purpose, Life Lesson, and life-scale issues—both for yourself and for others.  You will also be able to recognize and read several other basic elements of the hands and be able to offer practical meaningful readings.  This weekend is for you if you  truly desire to accelerate your own personal growth by learning the underlying mechanics of your life and/or would like to do the same for others.  If interested, call Ronelle at 510-893-7044.  www.HandworksInternational.com .

Ronelle Coburn, associate of Richard Unger and teacher for the International Institute of Hand Analysis, is the instructor of this special class.  In addition to her private consultation practice, Ronelle speaks publicly and is writing a book on hand analysis.  She passionately and dynamically brings this modernized version of the ancient art of hand reading to as many people as possible so that all have the best chance of living in the power and fulfillment of their Life Purpose.

What some students have said:
“I have found that blending the Hand Analysis Information with my Life Coaching tools has provided a profound impact for my clients to discover their purpose and identify their blockages.  Life Purpose Hand Analysis has become a crucial component of my coaching practice.”  Stacy Davenport, CPCC

“Ronelle is an excellent teacher.  She takes bits and pieces of information and leaves me with specific knowledge.  She distills the useful from the irrelevant and gives me concrete stories and examples so I can easily understand and explain to others what I’ve learned.  But most importantly she makes the subtleties of human experience tangible and clear so that I have something to hold onto while I grow.”  Elisa Mehl, User Interface Specialist

Dear Members,

Greetings from http://www.cyberastro.com

This time I would like to present vedic sky of March,

Welcome to March Vedic Sky.

This is the time of the year when winter finally calls back its cold winds
and the cool spring fills the earth with flowers. There is a happy spirit as
the Sun shines brighter.

The planets in the sky decree many kinds of changes, some favorable
some bring in foreboding of doom, but human's are endowed with such
blessings from the powers above that they march ahead in their karmic
journey, with their head held and a heart full of optimism. So what I will
now write should just be your information for caution or opportunity and
not a deterrent to your impetus. The present configuration in the sky
should be considered as a way of life as these elements are a part of
creation and not a destructive power.

Now let us see how the luminaries are faring.

Sun is transiting in Aquarius and will move from Aquarius to Pisces on
15th March 2005. Last two months Sun has been in his enemy's sign
Saturn. Once it comes to Pisces, the sign of Jupiter, generally people will
find inner peace and resolved with themselves, as Sun signifies our soul.

Moon Starts its journey from Libra and will come back to Libra on 28th
March. The New Moon will be on 10th when Sun and Moon will exactly
conjoin in Aquarius.

Mercury will move out of Aquarius and will enter Pisces on 2nd March.
Mercury will become retrograde in Pisces on 20th March. This is the
first time Mercury will be retrograde this year. This may cause all kinds
of communication disruptions and computer troubles.

Venus will move from Aquarius on 17th March 2005 and will enter
Pisces, its exaltation sign on 18th March. Pisces the sign of Jupiter is
considered the sign of exaltation for Venus because in this sign the
intense love and passion signified by Jupiter, gets matured with Jupiter's
wisdom. Venus becomes like matured wine. From passion in our
relationship we can now transcendent to find bliss in our relationship.

Mars moves from Sagittarius to Capricorn on 13th March. This is the
sign of exaltation for Mars. We will be able to focus our action towards
concrete results. We will become more pragmatic and result-oriented.

Jupiter remains retrograde in Virgo!

Saturn remains retrograde in Gemini and will become direct on 22nd
March 2005. Saturn has been delaying things and creating obstacles for
last two months. But Saturn never denies and Saturn will now open door
for all of us finally with Mars and Venus exalted. This is going to be a
great month and finally winters will be over and spring comes in with all
its color and splendor.

Rahu/Ketu have also changed their signs from Aries to Libra. They will
now enter Pisces and Virgo. Good news for people who had Aries/Libra
as their 1st/ 7th house axis or 4th/ 10th house axis; scope for peace and
harmony for them in their career and love front. However, the stock
market is likely to reverse its current trend.

Though it is hardly possible to state all that astrology depicts for this
month, I wish to point out one particular aspect of astrology. The
predictions about the planets mean something different for each one of
us; in favor they seem good, in doom let them not become redundant, the
purpose of astrology is to show the way but it is for us to open our eyes
wide and see the way.
