Well, I made it through and am now on the other side. Things are going well and
besides being very tender in my stomach I'm not in too much pain. I'm doing
well with getting my fluids in, my only concern is that I am able to sip about
4oz of chicken broth is about 30 minutes is that too much too fast? I don't
feel sick afterwards or anything but if my pouch is only 1-2oz big is is fluid
just dripping on through or is my pouch unusually large?

I appreciate all the phone calls and thoughts, even if I didn't talk directly to
you my husband relayed each message. So my goal today is to get to Kroger and
buy some tape since the hospital sent me home with basically none to wrap my
drains in.

I'm so excited to begin this journey and have only made one mistake. I stepped
on the scale thinking that I would have lost some weight by now but I think I
might still be full of air because it says I've gained 5 pounds since Tuesday.
I don't think I'm going to step on the scale again until next Thursday when I
see Dr. Dyer.

I hope everyone has a wonderful July 4th.

Heather

Heather, I left the hospital heavier than I went in.  It is because you are full of air and, I believe, because of all of the IV fluids they pump into you...

Heather, When I was in the hospital I could finish basically me entire tray in about 30-45 minutes and it contained way more than 4 ounce. The nurses were...
