Hi Sara,
I don't know if this is an actual post or if it's just more spam, but
I just found it in my backlog of email and thought I'd answer it
anyway, just in the interest of having some actual *content* on this
list.
Yes, of course it would be "safe" to make gf bread in a bread
machine--why wouldn't it? I have a bread machine (a Salton Breadman
model) which has programmable settings so that you can set it exactly
right for gf breads, which rise and bake differently than wheat-based
breads. If your machine has the capacity to be programmed for
different times, there is probably a website you can check to see if
there is a program you can set for gf breads. Otherwise, you might
try calling the manufacturer and see what they suggest. I bought my
machine specifically for gf, so I know it's possible.
Anyway, if Sara and Darryl are just testing out their email programs
with that weird little exchange, thanks at least for adding some
actual gf-related material to the list. ;)

p.s. I replied to Digest Number 770, wondering why there was nothing
but spam on the list, and just realized that my post never showed up
because I never received Digests Number 771 and 772. The new one I
just got is 773. It's not my email program, because I checked the
"junkmail" file where it sometimes throws things it misreads, but
they're not there and it saves everything for a month. Anybody know
what that's about? Maybe it's not that nobody is writing here, but
that there's a glitch and a program somewhere is throwing away the
posts???
