???? It is my great pleasure to announce that the World CB Radio Championship
will be restarting in 2009 and pencilled in for Feb. 21st-22nd, BUT? IN ORDER
FOR THIS TO BE FULLY SET, I need your input.? The old format of 24 hours of
contest time will continue, BUT the rest of the rules and contests will be up to
you.?
????? The previous rule was 'contact as many people as you can in a 24 hour
period', which usually ran from (?1 PM-1 PM or 2 PM-2 PM EST
(*Saturday-Sunday).? Contesters were to document their results and send them in
to me for confirmation.? We had usually an average of 6 'die hard' contesters
and that was just disappointing.?

Past contests (under slightly different names over the years)
+Universal 40 channels (AM/Sideband combined) (done 3 years)
+FRS (done 2 years)
+Channel 19 only (done 3 years)
+Outband (tried one year and never again).
+Sideband (done?4 or 5 years)
+AM within the 40 channels (done 4 or 5 years)

Another rule was that contest participants were to announce that they were
contesting over the CB/FRS--like Ham Contests.

Now in order for the contest to go on in ONE MONTH!!!..... I need 2 things.

1.? More contesters--a minimum of 15 people.
2.? An agreed upon set of rules/boundaries to help make it work for future
years.? This contest is not just for the United States, but involves any CBer.?
I am also asking that REACT members/teams?(and other CB related teams) also help
promote and participate in this contest as well and give input on how to make
this contest work.? I did appreciate Ron McCracken's help in writing a great
article in Pop Comm. several years ago.
