I am a new member to this group and don't have a long history of the
threads here but I did go back several pages to see if anyone else has
asked this basic question.

I have used a CB radio as a trucker for years to get help finding
pickup/dropoffs, getting road conditions, and other helpful information.

Now as a retired traveler I miss this avenue of instant local
information but I don't know how to select a CB radio for my 1991
Toyota Pickup. I only want to spend a modest amount and don't need the
best CB around but would like to get the best deal and the right CB for
my use. I need information not only on the CB but also cables and
antenna.

Any help would be a great help.

Get the magnetic mount Wilson 1000.  No holes necessary.  I've run one on my Burb for a number of years and am happy with it.   Mark Wilde KHD8472/WT2901 ...
