RE: [cbradio] NET ACTIVATION---Hurricane Dean/Alaska Volcano, Net 39 LSB!

Daniel – As much as it would be nice to have all
teams monitor 24/7, we are

also humans and know that this is not physically
possible. If your team can at

least put the best effort forward and monitor as
much as possible, that is all

we can ask for.

If you would like more info, feel free to contact
me at this email address directly

or go to HYPERLINK

call the office during normal business hours.

I'll be listening. I'm thinking about starting a
React chapter here in Connecticut because we live
by the ocean. There is a few CB'ers here and some
on Long Island Sound across the water fom us.
Doesn't react want you to monitor 24 hours a day?
tough to do if you have to work though. A few of
us are thinking about it.

Dean/Alaska Volcano, Net 39 LSB!

Attention all members!

Due to two imminent Natural Disasters (Hurricane
Dean/Alaskian Volcano-almost
to have a Huge Eruption)--all members who have
sideband radios are asked to
help monitor 39 LSB for the next week. This will
be an official NET. Our goal
is to help get information between affected and
non-afffected areas. REACT
and other similar individuals are encouraged to
use 39 LSB during this
situation. I ask for different areas of the
country to have a Net Control officer to
help control traffic flow, make sure 39 LSB is
used for the Emergency Net
(once the Volcano blows/Hurricane Dean gets close
to the mainland USA).

Right now, I want to have members sign up and let
us know when REACT groups
will be monitoring. IF the REACT Intl. Pres. is
here, would you and Doug
Schwinn help lead this directive, I would greatly
appreciate it.

Any member who wishes to participate, please sign
up/let us know when you are
monitoring or serving as a net control on 39 LSB.
The net will start at Noon
EDT.

REACT would welcome another Team, Daniel. Monitors on both shores of the Sound would give great coverage. Contact John for more info and any help you may need....
