Uh oh. The one I went to is in Milton. They moved from a previous
location in Federal Way. There prices are on the high side but I felt
comfortable dealing with "Brent". Maybe I should not take my
superbase back there for a tune-up. If not, then I am not sure what
I can do.

Daniel, It sounds like your radio has a problm with its caps, they are bleeding off till they warm up. There is a place local that mybe able to fix it for you....

... I'd start with the Squelch control...in fact all of the "Potentiometers" could use a good cleaning with some Radio Shack,or other "Potentiometer"...
