Re: [cbradio] Question about GE Superbase

Daniel,
It sounds like your radio has a problm with its caps, they are bleeding off till
they warm up. There is a place local that mybe able to fix it for you. They
fixed my Ranger 2995 after I gave up on it. The place is the RF Shop, they have
a web page Google the RF Shop and get their address.

Ernie

Subject: [cbradio] Question about GE Superbase

I have had a GE superbase for 4 years. The only repair guy I knew
past

away last year. I live in the Seattle area. There are two quirks I

have noticed with my radio in recent months. When I key up, the volume

on the radio when I listen lowers big time until someone is talking.

In other words, the static I hear all but disappears unless someone

talks.

Another quirk. My modulation even after I re-calibrate is garbled mush

according to listeners for at least a half hour. Then it seems to work

fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Daniel
