Dear CB Radio Yahoogroup,
Ever since I started this yahoogroup when I was a student in
college, I wanted to give CBers a chance to have fun in what they do
and to try to get CBing back to the glory days. One of the ways I
have tried to get CBing to be fun and to promote our group was to
set up an Annual CB Contest. This contest, which started in 1999,
has had its ups and downs, but overall has been a fun event for
those who have participated. But now after 8 years, I have decided
that the contest needs a bit of a change.
After some careful thought, I have decided to transfer the
leadership of the Annual World CB Radio Championship to whoever
wants to run it. I feel that having someone else / some others in
charge of the contest will help make this contest grow with new
ideas as to how it is to be promoted and ran.
As for me, I will still assist in the running of the contest as
well as being the person in charge of making the annual Winner's
Certificate.
So, whoever wants to take command of this contest speak up. If
you want to run it together with others, that is A OK with me. But,
let's see how we can get this contest to grow in 2007!
