Effective at 7 PM EDT (6 PM CDT), 39 LSB is going under an Emergency net.
All CBers that have SSB capabilities should begin to monitor the channel and run
a net. With the Two Hurricane/Tropical Storm Threat affecting Florida on
Thursday (Bonnie) and Friday (Charlie), this net is warrented. This net will
last until Sunday 7 PM EDT/6 PM CDT.

Those who are helping on 39 LSB and are on the East Coast should alert All
SSB stations of the net in progress. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS SITUATION!

The purpose of the net is to..........
1. Monitor the storm and its effects/damage
2. Have 39 LSB serve as a relay channel for Emergency Teams in and out of
the affected areas.
3. Pass along welfare traffic to other loved ones (as a supplement to those
in Amateur Radio).
We also invite REACT teams to utilize this channel during this odd situation
(two storms aimed at one state and hitting within 24-36 hours of one another).

We will also ask for information to be passed along to this list too.
