Description

St. Gerard Majella, Pray for us!

This group is for women seeking support or information on issues of infertility and the teachings of the Catholic Church. We try to provide a safe haven for those struggling with infertility to come and share their journey. We are 100% in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic church regarding treatments for infertility. Most of all, we hope to offer friendship, strength and support to each other through prayer and sharing. Whether you are beginning your journey or have struggled with infertility for years, we welcome you.

None of our list members are doctors, however, from experience, many members may have ideas on how to find the right doctor, what tests to ask your doctor about, how to incorporate diet, exercise, and alternative therapies to your infertility treatments, and what vitamins and supplements may help you conceive. Please discuss any changes with your doctor.

All members are free to ask questions regarding whether certain treatments are in line with Catholic teachings. Respectful dialogue and questions are encouraged. Those who do not know the church's teachings and would like to learn more are invited to join. However, if members choose to use certain reproductive technologies that have been ruled illicit (IVF, surrogacy, artificial insemination), they are asked to please refrain from commenting on such treatments on-list. Our group is meant to be a place where Catholic women can get away from personal IVF stories and the like.

While IUI has not been declared licit or illicit by the US Catholic Bishops, most members of this list have chosen not to utilize this technology. While questions and discussion on this subject are welcome, discussions about the personal use of IUI are asked to stay off-list.

May God bless you on your journey.

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you;
He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
Deuteronomy 31:8
