Wesley Clark on Pentagon 7-nation invasion plan.   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #904 of 1507 |

This quote is funny in some ways. Imagine the reaction to a Clinton plan to invade and liberate 7 nations. Which by the way I don't have a problem with. I believe in genuine freedom fighting. I never expected the United States to do it though. After the last major U.S. war of liberation in Korea the United States seems to have mostly gotten into the dictatorship installation and death-squad pseudo-democracy business instead.

But this plan will do little to stop terrorism though. Since there is never peace without justice. And until the USA liberates occupied Palestine, then terrorism will never end. Desperate Palestinians and their Moslem and/or Arab friends will never stop fighting for their freedom from U.S.-paid-for fundamentalist Israeli settler terrorism and land theft. That's a fact, Jack.

Excerpt below from Village Voice article. Oct 15 2003. Emphasis added.

"In his new book, Winning Modern Wars, retired general Wesley Clark, a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, offered a window into the Bush serial-war planning. He writes that serious planning for the Iraq war had already begun only two months after the 9-11 attack, and adds: 'As I went back through the Pentagon in November 2001, one of the senior military staff officers had time for a chat. Yes, we were still on track for going against Iraq, he said. But there was more. This was being discussed as part of a five-year campaign plan, he said, and there were a total of seven countries, beginning with Iraq, then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Iran, Somalia and Sudan. . . . I left the Pentagon that afternoon deeply concerned.' "

U.S. drug-war ads say drugs fund terrorism. Terrorism begins/ends with crazed-Texan, Armageddonist "Christian Zionist," U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's support of fundamentalist Israeli settler land theft.
