I used to waste a lot of time arguing with morons. Others will laugh out loud while reading this because they know it is true. Hopefully, others with more patience will respond to you.

 

You make a lot of assumptions in your email. Many of them wrong. Maybe Matthew will explain them to you. But since you just attacked him and smeared him in many ways he may not even bother responding to you.

No, the relief efforts of other human rights agencies are doing the work.  Amnesty International found a friend of mine who was missing and thought taken by the military.

I sent a list of contact numbers, a site for a treatment facility, and an entire list of regional NA meetings.  Addicts don't have to use.  Thousands of addicts go cold turkey inside the walls of our jail cells here, under bridges, face down in their own vomit...  I have been there.  I know.  But I also know that DETOX cannot kill you.  The drugs will.  And ya gotta know--opiates aren't meant to be used.  It took me about twenty years to figure that out myself.  But holy shit.  Hundreds of thousands of people can get off dope  (wait!  Millions already have, and either go to Narcotics Anonymous or just detox and find a new life.)  Please.

Yea, the government is a pain.  Write your senator.  They are busy trying to keep civil rights away from you here in America.  Or they are trying to get help to a political prisoner in Burma "Aung San Suu Kyi."  But yea, check the world news.  I think they know what is going on in Thailand.  Sure.  Light a match under their ass.  Better than under a spoon.

No money headed your friend's way.  He is not the "only jack ass" out there.  Amnesty has my dollar.  As does the treatment facilities and the counselors who help people off dope in the area.

Quit pleading to keep people on opiates and start finding ways to get them clean. Believe me, people are being helped right now.  And bailing them out to get them back out on the streets to shoot dope ain't helping nobody.
