Akha: Mr. Ah Nay beaten, broken ribs by Thai Army

Yesterday I showed up at Huuh Gkhah Akha Army Base in Ampur Mae Faluang and got Mr. Ah Nay out of the earthen hole he was down in.  The army was there in force.  And their dogs.  I took a photo of the place, will get that up with pics of Mr. Ah Nay when the web site is up again.  Another few days due to lack of compentence at tera-byte.com. Too big a site to move at the moment.

 

At any rate, Mr. Ah Nay is a small man, he was still swollen around the eye, still black.  He had bruises on his chest and back and ankles as well as a broken lower rib or two on the right side from being kicked and punched.

 

I asked for the name of the soldier who beat him and will grind the army hard about this case.  The man was detoxing, was sleeping off the medicine and is immune from abuse over crumbs of opium ash found in his house.

 

Furthermore it has been the last straw on brutality here, I have to do a lot of work monitoring these army people so I guess they want it in the eye one more time.

 

You may ask your local Thai as in (Die) Embassy for an immediate investigation into the removal, detention and beating of Mr. Ah Nay at Huuh Gkah Akha Army Base in Haen Taek district of Ampur Mae Faluang, Chiangrai, Thailand.

 

The DEA is sponsoring these assholes.

Mr. Ah Nay is a small stooped man. Has smoked opium for thirty years, seen many wars, and a solid statement to the little harm that long term opium smoking will do to you, especially since his sense of humor seems rather in tact.

 

The Akha are asking for the relocation of all army bases to border mountain regions out of the Village areas apart from drug checks.

 

The entire area is detoxing with little assistance or supervision, people who have smoked for 30 and 40 years.

Work continues on the Computer house up on the hill, which will speed our reporting of all these events.

 

Anyone who can garner Thai Army Emails please do so and we will get the word out in Thailand what is going on here.
