Just look up "Thaksin Shinawatra drug war" in Google for many links to human rights organization reports, photos, etc. of the 2,500 or more killings by the police and military death squads. Most were innocent of any drug involvement according to a Thai government panel. And since when does use of drugs allow a government to issue a "license to kill" to its authorities? Wikipedia has lots of info and links. See

There's a war going on. It destroys lives and families, spawns
violence, suspends civil liberties, tramples on the infirm, locks up
millions of peaceful citizens, costs billions, and subjugates reason
with fear. This blog looks at the front lines of the drug war, with
news, analysis, and the occasional rant.
