My name is Renee Boje and I am helping to organize a rally to raise
awareness about the women on our planet who are being persecuted due to
their association with cannabis, a sacred & healing herb. At the rally we
will be highlighting various women who are going through what I like to
refer to as modern day witch trials. A few of the cases we will be
protesting are my own ( http://www.reneeboje.com ) for I face 10 years to life
in the US for assisting a cancer and AIDS patient with their medicinal
garden in California where medical cannabis was considered legal & I am
currently fighting extradition from Canada to the US. We will also be
highlighting Schapelle Corby a 27 year old Australian woman facing the death
penalty in Indonesia for being caught at the Indonesian airport with
cannabis and Lynn Wood, a pregnant mother of 3 living in New Brunswick, who
is facing time for her involvement with a medical cannabis club there. The
speakers involved will also be highlighting other women who are victims of
the global war on cannabis, for there are many!

The rally will take place on September 3rd at the Vancouver Art Gallery at
750 Hornby Street, downtown Vancouver. The time is not yet confirmed. We
will be meeting at the gallery to enjoy lectures, music, performances and
more and then we will march to the Indonesian Conulate together in protest
of Shapelle Corby's imprisonment in Indonesia.

I am looking for female musicians, dancers, poets and speakers to join in
this very important event.
We also welcome any male speakers to contact us who are interested in
speaking at this event. We already have an incredible lineup of powerhouse
female activists who have joined our cause, including Rielle Capler, of the
BC Compassion Club Society, Professor Susan S Boyd who is the author of an
enlightening book called "From Witches to Crack Moms", Bethan Rees, of the
Bethan Rees Quartet

There are many incredible women who are interested and have yet to confirm
so I shall keep their names hush hush for now, but thus far it looks like
this is going to be an amazing rally!

very important cause.
