Subject: DW. You may have already seen ELECTION IMPACT ON WAR ON DRUGS
Invitation to an Election 2004 Web ChatHave you been wondering about the upcoming elections and their possible impact on the "war on drugs?" Tune in Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. (EST) for a special web chat on drug policy reform and we'll try to address lots of questions that keep popping up, such as:
Is there any real difference between Kerry and Bush when it comes to drug policy?
If John Kerry wins the election, what is he likely to do about drug policy given his voting record as U.S. Senator and the things he has said during his campaign?
If Bush wins, can we expect any new directions in drug policy, for better or for worse?
What difference will it make if the Democrats regain control of either the House or the Senate?
What about Ralph Nader and the Libertarian and Green Party candidates, all of whom have strongly supported drug policy reform?
Join me Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. (EST) for a live web chat on drug policy reform and the upcoming election with my colleague Bill Piper, the Alliance's director of national affairs.
Please visit our chat page before Wednesday to submit questions. We'll try to answer as many as we can.
See you online!
Sincerely,
