Hi Helen,
Threelac is made of 3 bacteria that eat candida and molds. They are
Lactobacillus Sporogenes, Bacillus Subtilis and Streptococcus
Faecalis. Which are micro-encapsulated to get by the stomach acids.
The product was developed in Japan and used for 2 or 3 years before
GHT aquired the exclusive marketing rights in the US.
Now I started taking two packets a day and was not changing my diet
for a week. The second week I increased to 3 a day. At the end of
the 2 weeks I decided that I had to do something about my diet. I do
not follow the average candida diet either. I have read some of them
and they did not make sense to me knowing what I know. I follow a
diet of foods that are not known to contain mold of any kind. Well,
for the most part any way.
The 3rd week I got up to 5 packets a week and really started feeling
good. At the end of that canister I took 3 a day for 2 weeks then 2.
The third canister I took 2 a day. Now I take one a day. I also take
food enzymes with every meal sense most foods these days are
enzymatically dead.
Hope this helps,
Dan

Thanks for addressing my problem. I'm all too aware about the apt. problem. I been trying to have the owner move me for 8 mo.- he said " my lawyer will be handling you from now on" I have tried every dept. in my city. I have written, called begged demanded help from someone/ anyone and there is no one who will help. I even finally got a lawyer, spent the 600.00 to see find out what molds were in my apt. in the walls and it is very bad but - to compound the problem my lawyer says she is going to sue the landlord sometime (?) but she doesnt know how to decipher the findings of the mold expert and I have read the papers over and over and can not figure it out.
I have been sick for 2 yrs. but since June I have merely existed. I am usually too sick to go anywhere and if I do I have such bad brain fog I forget how to drive sometimes when I'm driving. It is a disaster for me to try to look for an apt. I forget I tried to look. I forget I went out of the house at all. It's all too overwhelming physically and mentally.
I know it's serious, I call my apt. "The Coffin". I try not to get too depressed, but I do often think I will probably die here. My only other choices are sleeping in my car - and when you are really sick sitting in a car all day and sleeping in it are unbearable or living in a cheap hotel, and having done that before I know there is always mold in them. The toxic molds are in the bedroom and the kitchen - that leaves the living room - open to the kitchen .I dont use heat so I dont have vents.
It's hard for most people to fathom getting in a position where you have no friends and no source of help but I moved here from Northern Cal., moved in my building and was sick within 2 months. So, I have been totally alone for a few years.
What am I taking for my thrush? well, I saw three doctors before someone knew what it was - so I am drinking nystatin - but it doesnt work. I'm lost, Just treadin' water, try to figure out a next move healthwise - something I can accomplish with an sicking/weakening/alzheimer - like dis -ease.
There are also a few very powerful herbs on the market that are
powerful antifungals and are very cheap. Try any thing like that?
I'd like to hear more about these. Also, I take acidolphilis (sp?) that has to be refrigerated because I've been told that the refrigerated type is more stable than the other. Does that grow mold? If so do you know of any websites that talk about this?
I would like to puchase tree lac from you. I have a tropical form of
candida also parasites, cfs.
please let me know how to proceed.

I am new to the group but I have tried and continue to take threelac while I continue on my diet. Threelac works for me. It
actually worked so well that I joined the company to be able to buy it at wholesale. I am willing to sell it at wholesale to the group if any body else that would like to try it. Just let me know.
What else have you tried other than probiotics. And what brand probiotics are you using? According to my research most probiotics grow mold! Do you have to store your particular product in a cool dry place or the fridge? If you do it probably will grow mold and is totally worthless as a candida fighter.
There are also a few very powerful herbs on the market that are powerful antifungals and are very cheap. Try any thing like that?

I used to work as a Realtor, and we had to take classes on mold. If you have the toxic mold I'm going to tell you what you don't want to hear and that's to get out quickly. Where I live if they find Stachybotrys (black mold) in your home, they put you out the front door and don't allow you to take anything out of the house. I'm not a doctor, but if you're taking antibiotics, they kill the good bacteria as well as the bad. Are you taking acidophilus to replace the good bacteria?
Here's one website to look at http://www.indoor-air-quality.net/black-mold.html
This is from another website.
The growth of "toxic mold" is becoming a problem of monumental proportions. Exposure to mold growth in residential, public and commercial buildings is believed to have caused serious medical conditions which include bleeding lungs, digestive problems, hair loss, nausea, loss of memory, reduced cognitive skills, and death. Property damage from mold growth has destroyed millions of dollars in real estate and forced homeowners to the curb.

Hello Clis,
Hopefully I can help you and get you on the right
track.
You say you live in a apartment? That would mean you
rent? Then it is up to the owner or landlord to take
care of this situation of the mold in this building.
Or do you own it? Either way, You are in a potentialy
life threatening situation. This is why.
There are many types of mold and fungus's in the
world. Candida being one of them which develops in the
human body from yeast which we all have. This yeast is
kept under control by good bacteria in the intestines
and is made to produce vitamins for use in the body.
Alter or kill that bacteria and yeast mutates into a
parasite known as candida. From there it can penetrate
the lining of the intestines and enter the blood
stream traveling to anywhere in the body and do its
damage. It does this buy releasing chemicals called
mycotoxins, which are powerful poisons that break down
living and dead things into dirt. Helping nature
complete the cycle of life.
The most carcinigenic substance in the world is
aflatoxin, a mycotoxin from molds. Most houses or
apartments would be condemned if the health department
ever found out about your situation. The only way to
get rid of it is to open up the walls and dry out the
area with heat and air. Dry heat will kill the mold.
You say you have taken antibiotics for your sinus
infection. This is only compounding your problem since
antibiotics are fungal poisons. They are made from
fungus's which kill bacteria. Reduce the bacteria in
your body and the candida(mold) gets stronger.
Simple sugars and GRAIN products feed yeast and are
almost always contaminated with mold. Peanuts, corn,
alcohol, are the worst. All the grains are also
contaminated as are almost all dairy foods.
Fungus's and their mycotoxins cause, ms, high
cholesterol, gout, arthritis, depression, chronic
fatigue, fibromyalgia, crohns, IBS, asthma, allergies,
all diseases of the skin such as ezcema, psoriasis,
adult acne, chronic pain, meningitis, breast cancer,
prostate cancer, etc. The thing about it is we are all
different so it seems we all are effected in different
ways. Usually in an area that the immune system is
weakest. The continual battle being fought between
your immune system and the fungus will eventually come
to an end if not dealt with. And that end is not in
your favor. This is serious stuff Clis and I am not
trying to scare you just let you know just how serious
it can become.
Your nose problem sounds like it is strictly a fungal
infection. This being the case antibiotics will never
get rid of it. They are part of the problem.
I would wear a mask in the house at the "very minimum
all the time". And try to stay out of that part of the
house if at all possible, close it off. If there is a
return air grill for your heater in that area of the
house though you will not be able to get way from it
since the heater will just pump it through out the
house anyway. Stop taking the antibiotic and get some
olive leaf extract and probiotics.
What kind of medicine do you take for your thrush?

Hi-
I recently joined the group and read the emails, but I'm lost.
Here's all I know about me: I have thrush in my mouth even when I use
medicine for it. I stopped eating wheat and sugar in the hopes that

How do I find out if the yeast thing is part of my problem? What
should I try? DOes it cause thrush, sinus problems, fatigue, brain
fog, confusion? thanks, clis
I really like how you put it when you asked yourself if by eating sugar or bread if it would change your life...and the only way it does is by effecting the way you feel...which really is not worth it!! I am going to use that as extra incentive as I have been adding sugar back into my diet more than I would care to admit...and mostly because I know I can get away with it and am not suffering from it... I have just picked up a book written by Ann Louise Gittleman called " Get the Sugar Out...501 simple ways to cut the sugar out of any diet". It was one of the reference books used in my course I am taking...( I agree with you on the Yeast Connection books...I bought both of them but never did read them...I do use some of the recipes thought...)
The products that I am taking are based on the scientific discovery of Glyconutrients. The following is a generic website that explains what these product's are & how they help to modulate the immune system. The site is:
If you would like more information on the products, company etc.. I can help you with that as well as if you decide to order them I can assist with that as well. They are marketed via Network Marketing....and I want to assure you that this is not about sales...it is all about educating others about this discovery and how it is changing lives around the world. I was skeptical at first when a friend told me about this and I now will always be grateful to her for taking the time to share with me as my life & health has improved dramatically since than. I have been taking these products for two years and can honestly say that they will always be apart of my diet as they are simply the nutrients that are no longer in our food...the nutrients that are not in our fruits & vegetables due to green harvesting, processing, chemicals etc...Since being introduced to these products & the change in my life I recently enrolled to become a Nutrition Consultant as I want to learn as much about nutrition and our body's as I can.
In closing,I respect your wish as to no sales... I am the type of person that when someone trys to sell me something my guard goes up instantly..as being a single female I have had to deal with pushy salesman in the past - so rest assure that this is not about the sales ...it is about support and making people aware as to what is out there....

IThank you so much for your email, it really hit the spot. I have just completed day 2 of a cleansing fast of veggies, millet, and more veggies, all steamed. The fast is supposed to last a total of 5 days, and them I will begin a more balanced diet for the candida. Today I feel achey and tired, and if I never see another steamed carrot I will be happy:}.
However, the truth is, I feel in control, and clean. Today I woke up without a stomache ache, which I have had since about 1976. It almost makes if worth it for today, and that is all that I am going to concentrate on. I am trying to treat this like an addiction, which is exactly what it feels like.... though please forgive me if that sounds pompous, I have never really had one and dont mean to minimize one. I feel like my every thought is about food, and I know that eventually it will be habit- but for now I have to think about everything that passes my lips.
Lynn, you are so right, that we are so enamored with food as a society- and that in moments today I thought to myself, whats the big deal? So I didnt eat sugar or bread today, did my life change all that much? ( Well yes actually it did, I am not bloated) I didnt miss out on laughter, or a good days work, just the stomache ache.
So, tomorrow I will do it again- and probably the day after that.
Thanks for the note, I will look into that book! I know that I have The Yeast Connection which I think is the most ridiculous book available.
Lynn, what are the supplements that you are taking? I have a few and am wondering what everyone else is succeeding with, )PLEASE NO SALES !!!
thanks again

Hi,
I can definetly sympathize with you as I honestly felt like my "life was over" when I had to eliminate what I thought was all the good things from my diet!! I had suffered with Candida for years without knowing what was really wrong with me and I thought that I had it so bad, but after hearing some of what you all have gone through I guess I did not have it as bad as I thought. I am going to recommend a book to you that really helped me through my recovery process. It is called "The complete Candida Yeast Guidebook Revised 2nd Edition" written by Jeanne Marie Martin. It does the diet in stages which is much easier than the original way I did it by literally cutting everything out...When I first went to my naturopath he put me on the strict diet for six weeks (which seemed much longer than it was) and on my next visit he extended it so soon I had been on the diet for 5 months. I find that I still stick to some of the suggestions for example I eat protein & vegetables or Carbohydrates & vegetables but never all three together like I use to and I really don't miss it. I also try to eat my fruit either a 1\2 to an hour before a meal or two hours after a meal and never in the evening.
One thing that this all has made me aware of is that we really do base our life too much on food. I did not realize this until I had to cut out all the things I loved (sugar, chocolate, coffee) - and had to watch everyone else eat it!!! When I went through all of this I was on my own, so it was much easier as I did not have to cook differently for a family.. It sounds like you are aware that changes need to be made to your loved one's diets as well so maybe you could gradually start making some little changes and eventually these will become "healthy" habits. Maybe you could sit down with them & explain how you are feeling and you could do this as a family... extra support will make it much easier for you and their health will benefit as well from it.
One of the things I did to help me stick to the diet is that I knew that it was only temporary and the benefits of feeling healthy are much better than the alternative of staying sick. It also come down to knowing that if I did not stick to the diet I had to go back to feeling the way I did before and that was something that definitely did not appeal to me. So remember that you are making these changes both for your self as well as for your family and definitely stick with it as you will have the support of all of us as well....and support is essential. Also, about six months after starting treatment I started on some supplements that helped me to boost my immune system so that I was actually able to beat the Candida & have been free of it ever since (two years). I also find that I am now able to eat more regular foods and not pay the price...however I basically try to eat healthy and limit my cheats...The cravings are not as bad as they use to be, however I find that if I do start eating chocolate or sweets on a regular basis that the craving will still come back...I cannot understand how a person can stop at one or two pieces I have to eat the whole thing!!!
I wish you all the best & you can email me anytime you need a pick up....or if I can help in any way......

Hi Karen and Everyone,
I am new to the group but I have tried and continue to take threelac
while I continue on my diet. Threelac works for me. It actually
worked so well that I joined the company to be able to buy it at
wholesale. I am willing to sell it at wholesale to the group if any
body else that would like to try it. Just let me know.
What else have you tried other than probiotics. And what brand
probiotics are you using? According to my research most probiotics
grow mold! Do you have to store your particular product in a cool
dry place or the fridge? If you do it probably will grow mold and is
totally worthless as a candida fighter.
There are also a few very powerful herbs on the market that are
powerful antifungals and are very cheap. Try any thing like that?
Sincerely,
Dan Jackowiak

Hi, I've been using threelac for about a year now. I haven't experienced irritable bm but since I started taking it, I noticed that I began having normal daily bms. This might sound nasty but I felt that since taking it my vm felt really releaving =) Anyway, since you've tried probiotics as it sounds, I suggest you give this one a try. As far as I know it's the only one micro-encapsulated to survive your intestines to fight your candida. Besides, the company gives 60 days money back warranty so you'll have plenty of time to test it. I hope this info helped. Good luck.

Hi Colleen!
Glad to hear you are doing well :) I am sorry, but I
had to laugh at this statement:
> Today I woke up without a stomache ache, which I
> have had since about 1976.
Not really too much a funny haha, but more like
thinking... I've had my dog since 1976 or I haven't
been sober since 1976! It's just such a long time to
have bloating and a stomach ache and it's nice to hear
your life flip around so quickly. I have been on my
diet for almost 8 months now. I wasn't in pain as long
as you (hell, I wasn't born till 1978 ;) but 2 years
of constant vaginal burning, itching, tearing, etc. is
enough to completely stop eating crap food! If I think
of: Mmm a cup of coffee, or Mmm a chocolate bar. I
just think of the consequences and usually that's
enough to make me think of an apple or banana ;) Keep
up the good work and hope you have more pain free
days!

I wish I could tell you, I'm still trying to figure it out myself. It is impossible to go anywhere without worrying about what food will be available etc. I've been making lots of soups (but not leaving it much longr than 2 days, then I'll freeze and use another time)and cutting up fresh veggies. I try to do this pretty consistantly but it is a real pain in the ass! I understand what you are going through. The world around me eats watever they want and I feel like I'm from another planet! Its very lonely sometimes! And boy do I know about the sugar hangover! Painful and very strange to say the least
A few things that I've been doing to help me cope are: 1. Super Blue Green Enzymes ( I don't know if that would work for you but I thought I'd mention it. The enzymes help process the food. 2. Making fresh veggie drinks, carrot juice up the yin yang. 3 Salt water solution to keep sinuses clean and clear. Sinuses let in quite a bit of bacteria if they are not functioning properly.
I hope this helps !!! You are not alone!
Sincerely, Cathy

Hi,
I know where you are at. I do not look forward to five or six
months without slipping up. But I am soooo tired of the fungal
infection on my right hand and foot and the dark blotches on my skin
and feeling lousy. I envision a hard time as I gave up excess sugar
nn 1968 (tired of being a then 'fat teenager') and my diet is pretty
good so this will be a 'dig in' effort.
I'm doing this in a two pronged approach. First, I'm taking care of
the food senstivities and allergies. I enlisted the suuport of my
fiance in that one result of my eating allergies is acid reflux,
which results in an inability to breath at night and scares us both
silly. We'd had peaceful sleep until he bugged me to eat some wings
with pepper sauce last weekend. I had two nights of choking
(scarier for him than for me), he's now on board.
Next (beginning in two weeks) I'll tackle the candida. I'm sort of
preparing for it by developing menus for the allergy situation that
don't include foods which will be forbidden in the candida treatment.
You don't say how old or what sex the children are. If they are old
enough to understand, try making it a game - give a treat to the one
who finds the best new way for you to do something (a recipe for
instance) each week.
I think you have to resign yourself to cooking one meal for them and
one for you. But I think you can work it so that you eat
the 'basic' meal and add stuff for them. If you have any female
teenagers it might not hurt for them to start being aware of yeast,
I had my first attack of vaginitis at age 14.
My girlfriend is a celiac and she has had good results in
restaurants by just asking about ingredients and if somethng can be
prepared slightly differently, if necessary.
Congratulations on your marriage. This is hard, but worth it, so
that going forward you can (pardon the cliche) 'be all that you can
be' as past of your new family.
Lynn

I totally agree with you Lynn,
People always ask how I can still stick to my diet!
It's really easy when I remember the excrutiating pain
I was in 24 hours a day.. I would live off 1 food if I
had to, NOT to feel like that again... just thinking
of the alternative it reason enough to stick to the
diet!

Wow, that's a really tough question... do you have any
idea of what you are allowed to eat? When I go out to
restaurants... I will only pick a restaurant I trust
and know will feed me what I can eat. Meaning, I won't
go to one where I know they don't serve anything at
all ;) *like a fast food restaurant* I eat mostly at
vegetarian restaurants, lebanese, indian, greek... as
these food revolve around vegetables and meat and less
sugar than most other kinds of diners and fast food
places. There is one place I go fairly often to eat,
it is a lebananese fast food place which only serves
organic chicken, various salads like hummos, fatoush
(green salad), tabouleh (parsley and tomato type
salad), potato salads.. a much more! At parties or
visiting friends, I often bring my own food =)

Hi Rainy,
I just joined this site and find it very informational.
Have you tested for allergies? I have MS and conventional medicine
has about run out of options so I developed my own plan. I am at
the last phase of a variant of the elimination diet (e-mail me if
you want details, it's not complicated). After you restrict your
diet for about 10 days to cleanse your body, you start adding back
foods (1 every other day) and check for reactions. By Day 4
of `clean-out' I noticed that my sinus/mucus, coughing/phlegm,
vagina/discharge issues had disappeared. When I started adding food
back, my reaction to the various members of the nightshade family
(which I crave!!!!) ranged from slightly sensitive (sinus and nose
congestion, coughing) to allergic (gastrointestinal pain and
hives). So separate from eliminating my candidiasis – which is my
next step – I am already seeing some relief from eliminating the
foods to which I am `allergic.'
I chose the elimination diet over conventional testing as it is as
broad based as what you can ingest while the medical tests are for
specific items/groups of items.
I have suffered from dx'd "chronic sinusitis' for 30+ years, and my
nose/sinuses hsve never felt so good , and no discharge certainly
makes laundry easier.
On the downside, I love the nightshade family – tomatoes, peppers,
eggplant, chili, potatoes – and will really miss eating these
regularly. And, since tobacco is also a nightshade member, I will
finally have to quit smoking (37 yrs of bad habit.)
Good luck,
Lynn

Hi Sylvia, I hope your son is doing well now. I apologize also for my reply delay. I don't usually check my email as much as before. Anyway, your son's case sounds so familiar to me because I too have had the dark round spots/blotches on my skin. I carried it for more than 10 years. I wasn't too concern since it was only on my chest and back and can be covered by my t-shirt. I freaked out when it spreaded that covered over 40% of my chest and back then I started having them behind my knees and some on my arm and armpit. The doctors said it's a form of fungal infection and I was recommended to use anti-fungal ointments and pills. The ointment and pills did not do much, the spots faded a bit but kept on spreading. I was sooo annoyed with the ointment because I had to spend at least $10 per week and I took too much time in the bathroom just rubbing it on my skin. I recently came accross some infos on Candida, I did the spit test
and I believed I have candida. I tried using the product Threelac, since Jan. '03. Few weeks after I noticed my fungal spots faded, my VM started to feel normal and I felt so good as I felt like I was removing all the bad organisms in my body. I never took anything else or did any diet but I felt that Threelac did some good in me. Now, I pretty much don't have spots on my body.
I think Lynn is right about the immune system thing. I too believe that your son could have low immune system for Candida is high on low immune system body. The thrush that you mention is a big sign that your son has Candida.
I think my email is getting too long so I'll end it. I hope the infos I shared will help out. If not I hope you'll find the answer you're looking for soon.
If you would like to get more infos on threelac here's my website.
Have a wonderful day. And Happy New year to all !!!

I apologize for the delay in getting back to you....The symptoms of Candida vary so much with each individual, however, it does sound like your son's immune system is compromised. Does he have many allergies??
I had Mono back in 1982, and my Mother has always said that my health was never the same after that. My spleen was enlarged to 4 times it's normal size - I was very sick with it. I am going to send you some information on the products that I feel were essential in my health being restored. In fact, about 4 months after starting on these products & having very noticeable results in my health (increased energy, color in my face and so much more) I started to feel sick again....this lasted about 2 weeks and my doctor sent me for some testing...the ultrasound came back showing 3 spots outside my spleen which was typical of someone whom had just suffered a blow - which in my case was not the situation. I was then sent for a CT scan which took about another month & by then I felt great & the results came back normal.... After discussion with my naturopath & tracing back through my health history we discovered that my symptoms
of my mono had come back...not the actual mono,,,just the symptoms...My body was finally able to fix the problem that had been there for 20 years. I am telling you this as it sounds like from birth your son has had some very traumatic assaults against his immune system, causing his system to be compromised.
The supplements that I am taking are of a plant source & non-toxic in any amount. Basically what they do is provide our body with the nutrients that are missing from our daily diet but yet are essential for our body. Science has proven that our body is actually able to repair itself is given the proper nutrients...our body can Protect, Defend & Restore itself...it just needs the right tools. This was proven to me as for about six months before I started on these products I was eating totally healthy, I eliminated all sugar, dairy, processed & prepackaged foods, caffeine, yeast, white flour, white rice, potatoes, fruit juices...and the list goes on. I was down to eating the basics: vegetables (not canned), real meat, limited fruits, raw nuts...basically just really watched what I was putting in my body. So by doing this & taking supplements prescribed by my Naturopath I had improvements to my health, but not to the extent as to when I added in these new supplements...within 3 weeks I noticed a significant change and today my health is so much better. If I do get a cold or flu I bounce back so much quicker and it does not wipe me out like it did before.
Have you ever heard of glyconutrients?? These are essential sugars (carbohydrates) that are required for proper cell to cell communication....it is when our cells are not communicating that sickness & disease becomes apparent. Science discovered that there are actually 8 that are essential for this communication to occur. When they studied diets of north Americans & people around the world ,they discovered that our diets were missing these 8 - so miscommunication was occurring on a cellular level in our body. So what this company did was find natural sources (plant) of these essential carbohydrates & patented the product. This company is a research & development company & has its own lab & scientists . They take pride in what they offer & ensure that all their products are of the
highest quality.
(this is my website: click on products for specific information on each product)
Look around this site & if you have any questions let me know (we are in the process of making it more user friendly...The products you will want to look at is: Ambrotose (Glyconutrients), Plus, AmbrotoseAO (combination of Ambrotose & Antioxidants...just a new product). The products that I started on were the Ambrotose & The Plus.
In closing, I really think that we can help your son by giving his body what it needs in order to repair itself. I also want you to know that I am here to support you both in anyway that I can, and if I cannot answer a question that you may have, the company has such a wonderful resource of people dedicated to helping others -so together we can answer any questions that you may have.
I am currently employed as a bookkeeper at a local Construction office. Since I have regained both my health & my life back I have a passion to educate others on these products as they have made a tremendous difference in my life! I am also currently enrolled in a course by GIFAM to become a nutrition consultant as I want to be able to help others to become educated on the importance of nutrition. I look forward to your response.
If you would like to speak with me personally, you can either phone me & leave a message if I am not home or email me your phone # with the best time to call (& time zone) and I will get back to you....
Subject: [candida-testimonials] Does my son have candida?
I need help. I'm not sure what candida is but my son thinks he has a yeast problem. My son has blotches all over him... Is this candida? I don't have a clue what candida is or a yeast infection...but when he was looking up his symptoms on the internet he thought he had a yeast problem.
The blotches are a little darker than his skin color and roundish. they have been increasing the past two years...
The past few days he has gotten a welted red rash in addition to the blotches and they are pinker in his elbow pits and chest and around his neck and the back of his shoulders. He's 17 so not sure where else it is...he's not wanting to show me. This week he has felt really sick
He went out with his Dad to dinner Sunday and when he got home he threw up. He said he was dizzy and nauseous. He felt the same way the next morning. He has had three bad days of having no energy... and feeling miserable.
He's been craving pasta. Macaroni and Cheese.
I know he has some mercury poisoning from birth because i have it, I'm his Mom and I breast fed him for 10 months and just found out that probably got mercury in him because of that... He had thrush when he was young and asthma and mononucleosis at 3.
Hope you get this soon. Sylvia

Hi:
I am a 55 year old male recovering from Candida. You can read about my battle
with candida on the website:
www.sjdf.org
under Ravi's column.

----
Long story short, In June of 2001 I was stopped short by a debilitating candida infection. I visited 12 doctors (recieved mostly mental illness diagnosis) and 6 hospitals to no avail. I did show some biggies (chronic pericarditis, colitis, etc.) but no cause. I lost 60 pounds and was bedridden for the better part of a year. During this time it was impossible for me to support myself. I had to do enimas every other day to move my bowels for they just didn't work on their own. I had to cut all forms of sugar out of my diet. I could only tolerate pureed kale and poached salmon. I had to eat many times during the day to support my blood sugar. If I would eat sugar I would come just short of a heart attack and would be struggling for breath for days, not to mention the pain. All in all, I was in bad shape. I had
been a United States Ski Team hopeful just a few short years before this happened, it can happen to anyone. My road home: I took the "inside, outside approach". I covered all the ground I could on the outside: special diet, supplements, exersise (when able), research out the wazoo, etc. And the inside: studying foundations of spiritual illness, experimenting with meditations, taking intuitive chances. Let's face it, when you are sick you want the real medicine, anything that will work will do. What I found: The lines from inside to outside often mishmashed until it became hard to distinguish between the two. I would intuitivly be drawn to try something new, it would work, etc. I began to view this vital portion of myself as the tool that was going to lead me to wellness. I began to refine my senses and intuition through an old traditional spiritual
practice. It began to open me to the fact that my illness was a lesson. I began to take this lesson seriously for the first time and boy was I in for a surprise. I found that as I listened deeply to my heart I began to hear it "speak". When I say speak I mean putting my awareness to my heart and experiencing its state. I was seriously ill, its state was often painfull, screaming, etc. But I found that by beginning to take care of my heart I began to see some very real and tangible changes in my situation. By spending time with my heart I was able to learn to distinguish what was right for it and what was not for example: my heart would feel good when I would pray for help, be compassionate with others, give love to myself and others, etc. Please note: I kept up with my doctors and protocols at the same time. You eventually see that these things (doctors and protocols) can be incredible tools if you use
them in the right way. Things that were wrong for my heart: Throwing my anger, being a "victim", collapsing. I had a revelation which held true: this illness was trying to teach me about the place inside of myself where I had become disconnected with the true heart or love. Hence the old saying, "In the chest of the human being there lays a piece of flesh, if this flesh is bad, the whole body is bad, if this flesh is good, then the whole body is good". I simply stuck to the things that my heart was fed by and strictly refused any of the latter as much as I could. If I found myself hating I would go in and look at that place that was hating, If I found myself collapsed I would really face the part that was collapsed. By facing I mean I would bring the love back into these places. When the love of the true heart would go into these places they would be fed and satiated all from the
inside. As I began to employ these practices a beautiful sychronicity unfolded. I began to recieve a lot of outside help that was "hidden" before. I found a supportive group of people who guided me even deeper into my search for the cure. Still nothing "outside" meaning medication, supplements, etc. was really making that much of a difference. My heart began to heal from all this work I was doing on it. Sure enough my body began to follow. I started to be able to walk again, to eat a larger variety of foods, strictly no sugar. I finally got a supportive MD who sent off my samples to the Great Smokies Lab. It came back with 9 parasites, 3 kinds of yeasts, no beneficial bacteria. To my suprise the meds I took for these didn't work. It wasn't until I met a great herbalist from the middle east that I really made some break throughs. His method was to take the
outside for the outside (material for material) and the inside for the inside (spiritual medicine for the spirit). The outer remedy he gave me was six cloves of garlic (fresh) crushed and eating 1/2 hour before the morning meal followed by a large spoon of yogurt. This remedy is fantastic, I really loved it, immediate results. The inner perscription he gave was to go into retreat and to really continue with the path I was finding in the heart. It worked: I had a huge breakthrough in the retreat and along with the remedy I gained the weight back in about two weeks. I have only since then seen slight traces of the illness show its face. I am omitting a lot of details to keep it short but if this post feels good to you feel free to email any questions. God willing there is always a way to heal. To all those searching for a answers I can only give this simple advice: Take your
chance, don't stop with anything other than love, keep straight, listen to your heart, and of course first and foremost: mercy mercy mercy Sincerely, Ben
