Hello group,
It all started approximately 4 years ago. I got strep throat. I took
antibiotics. It came back. I took more antibiotics. My nose became
terribly congested. I became extremely fatigued. I was put on yet
another antibiotic. My nose has gotten a bit better with
acupressure. But now my illness has "refined" itself into a symptom
set with a very specific onset: exercise. Barring events where I
knowingly abuse my body (beer, junk, etc) I feel fine until I
exercise, even lightly. Within an hour or two of even a very very
light jog, I begin to feel dizzy, out of it, foggy, my nose begins
to get congested, i feel a bit drunk in a very bad way. I usually
pass out hard early that night in a very unnatural feeling way, my
breathing is rapid and shallow, as is my heart beat, I cannot drink
enough water to ease my feelings of extreme thirst and dryness, and
I wake up feeling worse than I felt the day before. The next day is
spent in a severe state of all I can describe as physical
depression. My mind and body are both at an extremely low energy
level. I can't think, have trouble communicating and retaining
information, and generally feel hopeless. The symptoms begin to
abate within 18-36 hrs after rising the day after exercising.
I do try and refrain from gluten, dairy, and sugar (on my chinese
doctor's recommendation), which has helped me mostly with my chronic
sinusitis, but I still have an "episode" each time I exert myself
physically. Further evidence that these symptoms could be Candida
related is that I was on tetracyclne and eurythromycine for acne as
a teenager for two or three years.
Does anyone here have or know of a similar case? Does it sound like
Candida? Most drs I have seen don't recognise the Candida hypothesis
as a valid one, for some reason. Help me...!
