I have most of the symptoms of chronic yeast infection. Lately, I
have been researching on the internet and have found, to my dismay,
the description of various no-carb diets meant to eradicate a
systemic yeast infection.
Well, if it is true that nothing but absolute adherence to this diet
will get rid of the yeast, then I fear I will have it forever. I am
a Type I (insulin dependent) diabetic, which I am sure has worsened,
if not caused, my yeast situation. But because of this, it is
absolutely impossible for me to go 3 weeks (let alone 3 months) w/o
consuming some amount of simple sugars. When I have an insulin
reaction, it is necessary for me to take some simple sugars in order
to get my blood sugar back into the normal ranges. If I don't, I
would be subject to unconsciousness and brain damage.
Has this problem ever been discussed here?
Thanks,
Laurel
