Donna,
I am very interested in purchase of the CD! Can you tell me where to watch for
the information when the CD is ready for purchase?
Thank you,
Donnella

NCRA is offering "Fundamentals of Abstracting for New Cancer
Registrars" at the Annual Meeting in DC on May 6-8, 2006. This is a
full 3-day class. Information about the class can be found in the
Annual Meeting brochure. The class is full, but NCRA will be making
a CD-ROM of the classes with a video of the instructor and a large
display of the powerpoints coordinated with the instructor, as we do
for the annual meetings.
This will be available for purchase shortly after the meeting.

unfortunately, I have not found anyone that offers that in the State
of Alaska, or even Washington State so far. I live about 2 hours from
either place by plane. Even within Alaska, you have to be a certified
cancer registrar to practice...from what I have been told recently.
Any suggestions on what organizations out there may offer such? I
have even Googled "Teaching Hospitals, Cancer Registry"...etc.

cheap, but they are well organized. Das - will you be able to spend
any time in an active registry? On the job training and experience
is very helpfu. Good luck with your studies!
