You must check out the NEW eligibility requirements for future CTR
exams. If you don't take the exam soon, you will NOT be able to sit
for it without taking college classes.
So go to the NCRA website and download it now - so that you can plan
accordingly.

I have decided on one course at a time for financial reasons. The
course and books came to 250$ or so. Shipping and handling to
Southeast Alaska from the lower 48 isn't always cheap. More
information is available at http://campus.ahima.org/ under the Cancer
Management Program.

from my perspective. On-the-job training is a great way to go right
into the mud with your boots on, so-to-speak. If there were such a
facility in Alaska, I would be making plans to participate, but there
aren't, so, I'll do what I can for now by working in the health
information field and taking the AHIMA course online.
