Now that I am back from our national meeting in Portland I thought it
would be a good time to connect with other Cancer Registrars on some
issues we all are facing.

The first issue I'd like to get some feedback on is CTR productivity
in light of recent (and upcoming) coding changes.

Speaking for MSKCC, our registrars' productivity has declined with
the implementation of FORDS and now I am very concerned with the
impending implementation of Collaborative Stage.

I would like to survey Registries throughout the country to get an
idea of how many abstracts their abstractor's complete a day. I
realize that some registries require their registrars to perform
other tasks so perhaps number of abstracts per hour could be
calculated.

I think this information would be valuable to all Registry Managers
in our continued effort to provide quality data within the prescribed
time frame.
