Hi Lori . . . Here's my two cents. Don't use the staging guide to
code the primary site, tempting though it is. Those eligible
histology lists at the start of chapters only mean those are the
histologies which may be staged with that site's staging schema - not
that others can't happen in that site.
Lacking an ICD-O rule, I'd talk with the pathologist, if their report
doesn't make it clear, and ask if the tumor did or did not arise in
chest wall connective tissue. If they waffle, ask the surgeon if
they consider this to be a breast primary or a primary of chest wall
connective tissue. No matter how you go, this case will be an odd
fit!
