Hey Robo...I agree. It does not matter if it is by direct extension you would
still code as T3N1 and yes what a nice turn around---having a physician call you
for an answer!!!!

I don't think it matters how the met got into the node (lymph
drainage or direct extension). I would code it a T3N1.

My pathologist called me with a question (how cool is that, isn't it ususally us calling them?!) Anyway, he wanted to know how to designate the N in the path...

... it ... cancer ... normal ... I don't think it matters how the met got into the node (lymph drainage or direct extension). I would code it a T3N1. Regards ...
