I'm pleased to learn that your husband is a 7 year survivor. For many
of us it takes awhile to accept that we are survivors. After that we
realize that we have a new life and it began the day we were diagnosed.
It is unlikely that I will ever visit Australia physically, but I have
visited it in my mind many times since my 5th grade teacher gave me a
present at the end of the year - a book titled, "Our Neighbors in
Australia." My wife and I went so far as picking Adelaide as a place
to emigrate to and applied to the Australian Embassy for assistance.
They replied that my wife was welcome because she is a certified
teacher. They had no use for me because I was a computer programmer
and there was a surplus of them in Australia. We decided that we
didn't want a divorce so we stayed here in the USA.
Shalom,
Chuck
