I hear you Chuck. We're down here in Texas, outside Dallas-Ft. Worth area,
and hunkered down in the motor home. It was in the 80s on Thursday, and
it's been below freezing since Friday night. But it's supposed to get to 77
next Friday. For the time being, the water is disconnected to the RV -- so
we won't blow out filters, pressure regulators, pipes when the water comes
back -- and we're living off the fresh-water tank. The hookup is frozen
solid. And the pipes to the toilet apparently did not get enough heat from
the rest of the rig, so we were taking water with us to the bathroom to
flush. But that's better today. Seems to be just at night. There's too
much ice outside to do much, so we're watching Olympics and movies and
staying warm. My little Italian greyhounds, with no body fat and not much
hair, are living their lives under a blanket on the couch, with moments of
sheer terror when we take them outside to do their business. :>) Keep up
the good work.....and don't worry -- if you don't get used to the cold, you
run faster just to get back to the warm.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in
a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ---
Wow! What a ride!!!!!

On Thursday I did a 5 mile training run in shorts and t-shirt. Today I
ran with thermal underwear, thermal tops, windbreaker, gloves, and hat
with earflaps. I had to breath into my gloves to keep my cheeks from
freezing. How am I supposed to get used to the cold when it comes in
spurts like it has? Still, the runs feel good and spring will come one
of these days.
Shalom,
Chuck
