Nancy,
I am so sorry to hear about your mom; I guess I missed the note about her.
She did fight a valiant battle through the years.
Keep up with your trial...you know that somewhere, some time, someone will
find something.
See you in April! We have made hotel reservations in NYC for April 10 - 17,
so will probably get together with you the week after with that. We'll be
in touch with you and with Evie. Any chance we could all meet somewhere
semi-convenient for lunch or dinner? We will be in Pt. Chester, NJ.

a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ---
Wow! What a ride!!!!!

Hi Bets,
Sorry to hear that the Beast has struck again. Best wishes for good luck
with everything it involves.
I am doing fine. I'm in remission for my leukemia. I take a pill everyday
which keeps the beast away. The only problem is that they haven't figured
out how to keep us in remission without this pill, so it's not really a
remission. We have to take our meds for a lifetime unless they come up
with
something better in the future.
I'm in a clinical trial at Memorial Sloan Kettering for cml leukemia. I am
receiving a vaccine as well as taking Gleevec (the pill). I get a series
of
15 vaccines which they hope will build up our own immunity to the problem.
Sure hope it works.
In the meantime, I work and am living life as usual. Thanks for the
condolences on my mom. She had a six year battle with colon cancer and it
finally
got the best of her. It was a tough way to go, and not easy to watch.
Please stay in touch. It was good to hear from one of the "old timers"!
