I participated in a clinical trial for Prostate Cancer. I get to have
a checkup every 6 months for bloodwork because the after effects of my
7 years of treatment are still with me at 11 years. Also, they are
still putting tick marks in the book for the clinical trial and they
want to see me to prove to them that I am still ticking. Once a year I
go in to Boston, the doctor looks at me, says that everything is OK,
makes his mark on my record and his, too. Then he lets me return home.

I have come to wish that all my oncologists are female. They have
smaller fingers.
