I know what you are saying. I've lost count the amount of people, survivors of cancer, and of breast cancer particularly, both in person and on line who have engaged me to share my "experiences". Just by sharing my experiences now over 16 years ago. To celebrate today. . . the here and now. . . to keep on. . . remembering the first emails to and from the website. . and the friendships who have prospered. I was so terrified and now realize the strength I have within that has fostered my confidence. Yes I still hear from Jim McCulloch, once in awhile. and lots of others. I've learned so much and gained so much strength. I try to share the strength I've earned from my fellow survivors. So keep on my friend. . thanks for sharing. . .
Luv ya. . . Ev, aka Evie in NJ. . .

The other day I was running in a local park. Exhausted and near the
end of my run I greeted a young man fishing in the river. I usually
wave, say hello, and trot right past people in the park. Instead, I
stopped and we talked. After discussing the weather and a few other
things the subject changed to Prostate Cancer. He was very interested
in learning everything I knew and had experienced. He had been having
some symptoms and I recommended he see a doctor and get tested. It
seems that everywhere I go people realize I have had Cancer and feel
comfortable talking about it. Maybe I travel with a balloon over my
head that says "Cancer Survivor, Ask me about it."
