The other day I was running in a local park. Exhausted and near the
end of my run I greeted a young man fishing in the river. I usually
wave, say hello, and trot right past people in the park. Instead, I
stopped and we talked. After discussing the weather and a few other
things the subject changed to Prostate Cancer. He was very interested
in learning everything I knew and had experienced. He had been having
some symptoms and I recommended he see a doctor and get tested. It
seems that everywhere I go people realize I have had Cancer and feel
comfortable talking about it. Maybe I travel with a balloon over my
head that says "Cancer Survivor, Ask me about it."
