I can only imagine what San Angelo was like in the winter....and in the
summer! No thanks! We are enjoying Mineral Wells. Went into Ft. Worth
this afternoon to get yet another estimate on the final car repairs....the
things they missed the six weeks they had it at the body shop in Houston.
Another $500. But I understand why I've been so uncomfortable since the
accident...when I bounced back and forth, I did it hard enough to tweak the
passenger seatback. Dan, of course, had hold of the steering wheel, so
didn't hit it as hard. And I should of known, cause my chest was killing me
for about four weeks from where it hit the seat belt. Oh well. All is
slowly getting back to normal.
We found out today that we couldn't get tickets to Jersey Boys the week
we'll be in New York City. Will see Phantom of the Opera instead. Amazing
to me that they're sold out for April already. But it is the week before
Easter, so that's probably it....lots of Spring Break families into the
city. We're really looking forward to the trip. And Phantom is one of my
favorites....but never seen it on Broadway, only road shows and of course,
the film.
Take care, and keep on keeping on!

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in
a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ---
Wow! What a ride!!!!!

Marla,
I would do the same if I were living in Texas. On Sunday the
temperature was in the 20's and the biggest problem was black ice. I
didn't see anyone fall, but I saw several people slip including
myself. Running shoes don't work very well on ice.
Years ago when the USAF was kind enough to station me in San Angelo,
Texas for a year I was charge-of-quarters at night and had to make
rounds periodically to check to see if anyone had stolen one of the
barracks buildings. On a couple of nights I had to brush the snow off
the bicycle seat. I was very happy to be back inside the squadron
office at the end of my round. Of course, the snow was gone as soon as
the sun rose in the West.
Shalom,
Chuck
