Marla,
I would do the same if I were living in Texas. On Sunday the
temperature was in the 20's and the biggest problem was black ice. I
didn't see anyone fall, but I saw several people slip including
myself. Running shoes don't work very well on ice.
Years ago when the USAF was kind enough to station me in San Angelo,
Texas for a year I was charge-of-quarters at night and had to make
rounds periodically to check to see if anyone had stolen one of the
barracks buildings. On a couple of nights I had to brush the snow off
the bicycle seat. I was very happy to be back inside the squadron
office at the end of my round. Of course, the snow was gone as soon as
the sun rose in the West.
Shalom,
Chuck
