Congrats, Evie....it's pretty cool to still be around here isn't it? Chuck, I, too, had the two-year prognosis when I was diagnosed with breast cancer....I always told the doctor that someday I was going to die, but it wasn't going to be from breast cancer...and that was 15 years ago.
I go in Wednesday for an esophageal echocardiogram, which will allow them to look at the back side of my heart and determine if it is now strong enough to withstand valve replacement surgery. I know it's not cancer that I'm surviving now, but I would really appreciate any prayers, thoughts, etc., to help insure that surgery is an option for me.
Thanks!
Marla

Congratulations on 17 years cancer free, Evie.
I had my doctor sign a form stating that I was going to die in less
than two years. That was 10 years ago. The form was necessary for
Jackie & me to get into section 8 housing. Last week I apologized to
the housing people for living 8 years past my deadline. Those people
are great. I got a response of, "Don't apologize! You are doing great!"
Shalom,
Chuck
